Why does Bulbabot make duplicate threads?

Why does Bulbabot make a second thread of a news article a few hours after it posts the original thread? Is it intentional, or a glitch, and if it's the latter, why hasn't it been fixed?

The "Bulbabot" is essentially just an RSS reader, which checks the Bulbanews RAS feed at regular intervals. If there has been a change to the article, it doesn't recognise it as the same article that was on there before, and reposts. There's no way for us to avoid it.
