Why does Team Rocket fly a hot air ballon with a mewouth on it?

doesnt it give them away?

and, why do they fly a hot air-baloon? if they have money to build all those crazy machines, they can afford to but an airplane or helicopter. or a car. or a bicycle. and they could even run.
 
Because Nyasu is awesome and everyone in the Pokemon world is too stupid to know it's them.

As for why they use it... well, they don't always have the money for mechas, so they just use the cheapest way to travel that they can.

but, a hot air baloon is like the slowest way to transport (everytime they run away, ash & co catch up when running
 
Well, they do attach jets to it sometimes.

I don't know, I guess they're just trying to be unique. How many villains fly around in balloons?

If we're talking about kids shows, a lot. Goofy comic relief villains getting beaten by the heroes every week is one of the oldest staples of children's TV.

seriously, i wanted for once that there will be a sad ending, and i thaught it finnaly happened when ash turned to stone,
But no!
pikachu's tears had to make him come back to life and worst of all end the battle between the clones and non clones.

Rule of Cool. They fly it cause they think it looks good.
 
Well, you might want to also look at the fact that if it isn't spotted, it is a quiet mood of transportation. That's why most of their night attacks are successful. If handled right, you can get in and out quickly and silently.
 
It apparently looks cute?

I think its just so the kids watching the show can recognize Team Rocket and feel good about themselves XD

i just think that the reason that the creator made an air baloon was so ash will catch them everyime, thus bringing a happy end.
 
Even if they flew a X-Wing, they'd still be caught...we need happy endings y'see...
 
Let's see- Meowth is the group's mascot. As to how and why they keep using the balloon despite it breaking hundreds of times, I have no idea.
 
well, meowth started out as the boss of Jessie and James you know.
 
Nyasu has never been the boss - Sure he says that in Episode 02 but that's only in the dub. In the JP version he just keeps babbling about neko ni koban or something.

'Cause Meowth's F***ing awesome, that's why. But I do agree, they should try something new for a few episodes. How about digging? They would be underground, nobody would see them. Come to think of it, nobody recognizes Jessie in the Contests, or when they have those crappy disguises.

they digged a lot, in early episodes. and in later also
