Why is it that Lucas and Brendan have extra lines?

I can understand that in canon Dawn and May are the protagonists of their respective games, but why does Lucas get like six lines at the villa and Dawn one? Also, Brendan has at least one extra line, when he talks about Rayquaza it differs.

Stereotyppicalness...boys get more (r are more characters) than girls usually (look at the cartoons)

Wait, what are you talking about?

Wait, what are you talking about?

The amount of dialogue they get in the game :/

So what if Brendan gets one more line, its still pertaining to the exact same subject. Not like he gets his own dialogue to talk about that May doesn't.

because the females get more screentime in the anime. It's a lame attempt to balance it out.

Where exactly in the games does this take place? Can quotes of the dialogue (for both (non)player-characters) be posted?

The creators probably did it without thinking...

It was probably unintentional....its no big deal actually....

LOL @ unintentionally giving the boys more lines than the girls. Says a lot about the writers' priorities.

It can go both ways :/

On one hand, males get more lines, on the other, you get more playing as a female.

Well, considering the boys weren't included because the writers wanted to show off the girls and their short skirts...

Gamefreak realised that no one would care to read what May and Dawn have to say when you can simply look at their boobs and short skirt respectively.

I'm guessing that it was just an oversight. Why does it matter anyway? Gameplay isn't affected.

I'm going to have to agree with every aspect of this post. Ever read Pokemon-X? Case in point.

I stand by my previous statement of the extra lines not being a big deal.
Why? Because it probably WAS unintentional, and even if it wasn't I dont think that many people actually READ what the story line characters are saying(I know I don't). Also, boy or girl they always have the same team right? So what does it matter?
