Why is it that some legendaries and monster group pokemon appear larger in the anime?

Anyone else notice how some monster egg group pokemon like Aggon, Haxorus and Tyranitar and legendarys pokemon like Ho-oh, Lugia, Groudon, Reshiram and Zekrom appear gigantic in size compared to Ash and friends in the anime while in games are ether the same size or a few feet taller than humans?

In the cases of Aggron, Haxorus and Tyranitar it's simply done that way to enhance their intimidation factor. For legendaries, they appear larger to show that they are very powerful and awe-inspiring beasts. It's just a matter of exaggeration on the artists part and ultimately there's nothing wrong with, say, a Pokemon that can create landmasses being a bit bigger than it should be.

I agree with VTP. Also, in real life, there are actually gigantic animals bigger than their average size.

Aggron, Haxorus and Tyranitar are a couple of feet taller than humans in the games, but Groudon is 11'06'', Ho-Oh is 12'06'', Lugia is 17'01'', Reshiram is 10'06'', and Zekrom is 9'06''.

Like the others said, its to make the monster like ones more intimidating. As for the legendaries, I mean, they aren't that awesome if they're just going to be a foot or so taller than a kid. At least the big legendaries like Lugia, Ho-oh, Dialga, Palkia, Zekrom, Reshiram, and Giratina. They just look cooler if they're bigger, at least in my opinion.
 
How come Lugia's bigger than Ho-oh? just saying XD

The river spirits are legendary, yet they're Pikachu sized or something I think

Besides the intimidation factor for more legendary/bad ass Pokemon, I always thought that the size chart given for Pokemon was an average. Not every Charizard is going to be exactly 5 ft 7, there will be some much larger and some much smaller, just like any other species.

I think the Pokemon sizes in the anime are what the makers think should be the correct size. Looking at Furret, does it really look like it should be 5'11"? Plus, legendaries wouldn't look so, well, legendary if they were only a few feet taller than a 10-year-old.

This reminds me of Roselia. When I saw a picture of Wally's Roselia in Pokémon Special I was kinda confused by how tiny it was. It really fits into his pockets, being a real Pocket Monster without the usage of those silly Pokéballs :p while it was pretty big ( bigger than Pikachu at least) in the anime.

I never checked the size of Roselia when I played the games so I thought that the Anime's size was the real one. The same can be said for some legendaries I guess.
I kind of wish the anime crew would sometimes use the 'real' sizes...can you imagine Shuu fighting with that tiny little rose? AWESUM!

( I prefer the bigger Whiscash in the anime as well ^^ )
