Why? Why am I ONLY entitled to Microsoft Sam?

I hate him! The only way I use my Windows XP to speak for me is by going Control Panel, Sounds Speech and Audio Devices, Speech, then use the preview button to let it speak. Is there any other way to speak besides the annoyingly dull and dreary Microsoft Sam? I'd like a couple more peppy voices that I can actually understand.
