.

^ Win post is win. (Even if it is just copypasta.)

I mainly like Japan because of it's military history prior to the twentieth century. Samurai culture and history is just fascinating to me.

ITS SO KAWAIII

Serious answer:
Japan itself is okay.. I'm mostly interested in their animation XD (bit the same as that I love Disney but isn't too impressed with USA XP)

But then again, it may be some truth in the stroked out sentence above, though I stopped using that exact word a long time ago (its really overused).. They seem to like cute things. I love cute things. Such as Japanese toys and once again; the anime. X3
And they have pink trees. How cool is that? X3 (I know its a cherry tree and they don't look like that all the time, but still...)

Cause there's Maid Cafe in Japan.. (O.O)

One of the reasons I like Japan is...that they are really talanted. I love the artwork that they do (and not just anime)...

Also, NINJA WARRIOR!!!!!!!

I wasn't particularly impressed with anime before I started watching it subbed, but I really like the Japanese language. It's aesthetically pleasing and I find it surprisingly easy to learn and understand, both before and after I started taking classes.

Why not? First it was their shows.
Then it was Miyazaki-san
Then it was their comics.
Now, it's their music. I mean, come on, I'm surprised that Shako-Pani isn't better known, I really wish GDTK would reissue Di-Bit's album (all I got is a couple of files) and I would give my left arm for another album by Amnjk or Hikaru "CDR" Tsunematsu.

Not really interested in Japan persay... I just like a lot of things they make games and animation wise. :p

I see Japan as the land of perverts! If you don't agree, then you obviously haven't seen or heard of rule 34!

...Right. Japan is the only country on Earth whose sleazebags can draw...

Speaking of drawing, I can't help but have a soft spot for the manga style, especially since many a mangaka influence has spread into American works(even kids' books!).

Internet, did you copy my signature? XD

Japan's cultural beauty. It's almost unbearbly attractive to me.

...If anyone else gets the Japanese channel an watches the news...it definetly aint all hot guys O-o

I love the language and writing style, even though I speak very little and write none. Its a beautiful language.

Then, of course, anime and manga. I love the style...its cartoonish yet realistic at the same time.

But I love the music most. If I could find an American band that I like as much as L'Arc~en~Ciel, An Cafe, or Dir en grey I'd listen but I have yet to find,

Samurais are also cool....and...Ninja Warrior rules.

Well, yeah! It's just like any other country that's full of rape, murder, and vulgar crimes.

I've been interested in Japan since I was in the first grade. You can blame my old TMNT comics (the ones published by Archie Comics) for that. The interest has stayed with me ever since, though my interests have varied a lot over the years. I'm interested in anime and manga, of course, but also in modern Japanese Rock and Pop, and in various elements of Japanese culture and history. I rather enjoy playing as one of the various Japanese clans in several historical video games (mostly Europa Universalis III, using the Magna Mundi mod), modeling some of the wars from that era.

I watched a lot of anime growing up. In fact, one of my earliest memories is of watchinga scene from the 1st episode of Robotech. I would've only been about 3 years old. I didn't really realize what it was until I was about 10, when we started learning Japanese in primary school, and I started to put two and two together.

Okay, I do really like the anime and manga. And ever since I learned about them, I've greatly admired samurai and the bushido they followed. I am also interested in Japan's historical culture, despite not knowing too much about it.

I have been interested in Japan for a long time. In part, it’s thanks to cartoons like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other cartoons that feature ninjas and samurais and not too mention of course, video games that got the interest started.

I guess it’s in part because Japan is in many ways different from what is considered “Western Culture” and Western Civilization”. I enjoy Japan’s history and culture and have gotten into Akira Kurosawa movies as of late.

At first, it was because of anime and manga duh. Then, Japan's culture started to catch my interest such as the festivals, the folklore and the arts. When you start to learn more about it, you'll see that it's simply amazing and beautiful, for Japanese people must had have an amazing imagination.
