Wi Fi Question

I read somewhere that once you log onto Wi Fi with your game, it locks to that DS. I haven't been able to refind the info or anything else about it. Is this true?

I was recently planning on getting a DSi XL and wanted to trade between my game cartridges, but I am worried it won't be working as smoothly as I had hoped.

Can anyone give me more info?
 
Well if your trading whit yourself, just use the Union Room, no need to use Wi-Fi, and next time, post this kind of questions in the simple questions tread ;)
