Ok so my bf had a BTHomeHub-70C7 which worked with my DS Lite and allowed me to use the Wi-Fi, I have a newer BTHomeHub2-HS8K which doesn't allow me to connect to Wi-Fi with my DS Lite. I have the dreaded Grey Padlock.
Now my bf has had to get the same HomeHub as me as his old one broke. I'm mostly confused as to why the BTHomeHub2 doesn't work with Wi-Fi while the older one did. I've missed out on every single Wi-Fi event due to not being able to connect with my HomeHub.
My mum has tried changing some settings but this lead to the internet not working.
Does anyone know if I have to buy anything, or what settings I need to change to get it to work? Or if I have to buy a DSi?
I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work but to no avail.
If anyone has any answers or suggestions, I'd be greatful to know of them.

Look in your instruction booklet. It will tell you that that grey padlock means that the security settings are too high. A DSi would work, but I guess you don't have one.

I don't have a DSi as they do cost quite a bit, but I'm going to my bf's tonight and am going to borrow his mum's DSi. And if it works then I'll hae to buy one :/

If you can, change the security settings from WPA/WPA2 to WEP. This is the only security method DS/DS lite supports.
