Ok, I originally had a question/s about Wifi so I did a search. Since, there's so many questions about Wifi maybe a mod could sticky this?

Anyway, my question is how can Wifi work if you have Dial Up?

I'm not sure it can. I know that the USB Wi-Fi adapter I own can only work with a Broadband connection.

A question from me: My friend and I are trying to trade RIGHT NOW. We both have full connectivity, so why the hell are they intermittently cutting out?

No, it can work with dialup, you just have to do it right.

Are both of your connections stable? Maybe one of you are too far away from your router/USB dongle.

No, we both have full connections. We are both using a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB dongle.

Thanks.

I do have one more question. How do you get a Linkseys router's "little light" to stay on white more than orange? I can't do any battles/trades, because when it says "Connecting please standby....." the light goes from white to orange and an error comes up.

Okay, I just bought a linksys router yesterday for my mom's new laptop and my DS.

The problem is, they conflict with each other. Only one can be on at a time, and it gets really laggy for both. My mom blames the "stupid-ass Nintendo games that Wi-Fi was never meant for" and I'm saying it WILL happen when we get another laptop and it has nothing to do with WHAT the Wi-Fi is being used for. And she tells me to stop bitching and not to bump her off her internet because it matters more than my games.

Anyway, I have to setup a second connection if my estimates are correct, and I know it's possi9ble with the same router.

How can I do this? Or DO I need a second connection?

I have linksys too and I tried it and almost worked but then the light switched, please help me.

I have a Datel Wi-Fi Max USB Wi-Fi access point dongle and haven't had trouble with it. I had setup a network bridge between my USB DSL modem and the dongle and haven't had any trouble. I had my brother browsing the web with his PSP while I was playing Mario Kart DS online and had zero problems.

My problem was solved...or rather, dissolved, I guess the Wi-Fi was just being freaky...

I got a problem, I know I shouldnt be doing this, but, my neighboors have wireless connection, and I was typing random WEP key codes (the red thing appears) and one of them was permitted, however, I got the IP adress problem, any solutions ? and no, I wont do the honest thing solution, it would be so embarrasiong to ask my neighboors free internet access, because Im tired of going to my friend house (because she lives in another point of the city) luckily, my mom is also friend of her mom(chilhood friends, too), and she ask me if I want to go, I obviously say yes. and no, I dont live in USA, so is hard to me to find hotspots

I never heard of a dial-up router. Let's see, I do know that you can play WiFi on the DS if you get the Nintendo's WiFi USB Connector even if you do have dial-up.
