I went to the trade thread and I can say im a bit dissapointed in it. I think this site would benefit greatly with a want board so that people can post Exactly what they want and get reply's instead of having to look through 500+ posts to find what they want. Not only is it time consuming but also frustrating when people don't have a lot of time on the computer, not only that but people could also miss a great trade with someone else and I've seen people overlook others (yes i know part of life) but I feel that it would be easier.

Now this board would only be fore the games available to use via wifi, but i think people will also be more happy with it. Not to mention it will be in a designated area where people can 'seek' what they want. It won't make the boards cluttered unless someone spams in it, I have my own pokemon forum with a similar board and it works wonderfully. Just a suggestion on bettering the boards :)

I completely agree with this, especially the fact that I have to look through so many posts and end up not finding what I want/need.

How would you propose this is organized? By user? (i.e., I maintain my trade listing thread, you maintain yours). By Poke? I don't want a new thread every time someone's looking for a poke--that seems like it would get spammy and cluttered. But I would be curious about putting together a system that's fairly organized but fits your idea.

What's so hard about posting what you want on that thread and linking in your sig.

A lot of people in the past had posted a list of "wants" and "offers" and even linked the post to their sigs. The only problem I find with that thread was how people would chitchat in it rather than arrange the trades by PMs.

I guess it could work if everyone is limited to one thread where they conduct all their trades because I could see it getting really spammy with some people posting a thread every day.

Outrage has a good point, keeping one thread per person would keep it less cluttered. Have a link in the sig or some where on their profile for their thread so they dont forget :)

I think we could do something like this on one of the wikis.

Hmmm... I personally like this, but then again I'm not an admin. But, I think the best way to organize it would be to have each user have one thread.

Yeah and updating it through the Edit button is very simple. Plus, the thread need not get cluttered with 'What can I offer' or 'What do you want for's because of the amazing VM and PM systems.

I completely support this idea, but I think that the major problem with everybody having one thread, would be that if people went to browse on the sub-forum, then they'd only see the newer posts.
Sigs could only generate a very limited amount of traffic to your trade thread, so very few people would actually see it.

My support is behind posting when you need something, but enforcing a defined no thread spamming policy on the board.
