I can't seem to connect to Wifi on my Pearl. I finally found my home router, but when I tried to connect, it said "Unable to obtain an IP address. Move within range of the access point or check DHCP settings." Within range? I'm LESS THAN A FOOT from the router! And what the heck are DHCP settings and how do I check them?

Our wireless internet is on all the time for my mom's laptop, and the source is my computer which I'm obviously on right now. So how can I "move within range" when I'm sitting in front of it?

Who set up the router for you? Did they also set up the laptop and your computer? Could they also help you set up the DS?

Is there a WEP code you need to connect to your network? If you have to log in on your computers, you'll have to do the same on your DS.

I supplied the password and it said it was accepted. It just won't connect.

And some computer guys from the internet service set up the router, and that was a few years ago.

Hate to sound unhelpful, but have you tried the router FAQ on NintendoWiFi.com? It has several different methods for solving problems with several different types of routes. Helped me a ton when I was getting my DS set up for using Wi-Fi (also ran into problems), and I've mentioned it to a few other people who've been helped by it.

Yeah, I tried looking at that and I couldn't understand it. Maybe because it was about 1 am at the time. I'll try it again later (bit busy right now).
