I don't see a thread for this anywhere else, so I'll post it here.

Why don't we have a Pokemon Ranger Wii game for Gen V? You draw circles with the Wiimote or use a action similar to the one used by Rangers in the Anime.

I does suck, and I can just see my carpule tunnel getting worse with that. x.x My wrists hurt at the thought of it.

Basically what the two above people said. There's a noticeable difference between drawing with something like a pencil and "drawing" with a Wiimote.

I can't even play the DS version of the game, it hurts so much, how can people play that? o.o;

i find the ds games rather easy, actually. the concept of a wii pokemon ranger game sounds fun, but i betcha i will have a sore arm after 5 minutes. the wii is just too much work for some games.

It is an easy game, but I can't do the circles, it hurts my wrist.. there for I've never been able to complete my game. x.x

Make triangles =)

That's what I do, and all the other rangers look at me weird.

Well, the main problem is there is no way to draw with Wiimote. However, it would be great if we just capture like in the anime. Spin, spin and キャプチャー完了

Is drawing a circle with the wiimote really that difficult? I can understand that the wiimote may not be the best drawing tool, but still a circle has to be one of the easiest shapes to draw.

I can see some sort of pointer (perhaps the capture styler, spinning top thing) and then you just circle the Pokemon.

I don't see how it would be that difficult.

And as interesting as a wii ranger game sounds, what kind of graphics would it have? The DS worked well because it had "simple" graphics, but something 3d or high end with a wii just wouldn't look right, since the ranger games use sort of a bird's eye view for capturing the Pokemon.

They'd have to redo the capturing system entirely.

HAve you ever even played Ranger?! Your not Drawing ONE circle, your trying to draw like 20 circles as fast as you can with out the freaken Pokemon attacking it and destroying it! *glares at Salemence* It'd be almost impossible to draw 20 circles, exactly around the pokemon, in mid-air using a Wii remote.. I dont think I could do ten with out my arms getting sore or my wrists or something..

Because drawing with the Wiimote sucks.

I have no clue what the hell you are talking about sir. The Wii version of Okami is one of my favorite games of all time, and the drawing aspect of it is one of the many things that makes it great.

You guys have weak wrists. Drawing on the Wii isn't so hard. I'd rather use a whole arm motion then stare squinty eyed at a small screen along with a totally unnecessary second screen.

an example of similar games that are much better on the wii than DS: The Trauma Center games

No they wouldn't. They could still have 3D graphics and birds-eye view battles.

As for control methods...what's so great about the Wii is it's so versatile. They could easily program 2 methods:

1) Wii Remote. With this, you draw circles around the Pokémon with the Wii Remote.
2) Wii Remote + Nunchuk. With this, in battles, rather than draw circles, you control the direction of the Capture Styler with the Nunchuk's analogue stick.

I LOVE the idea of Pokémon Ranger Wii. As long as they don't have yet ANOTHER Manaphy download xD

Dumb objections.

It wouldn't have to be twenty circles for the Wii version, you do realize that? Clearly there would be a fair number of changes to stream line the experience for Wii players...

who says they have to be perfect? i commonly make wide ovals or sometimes wierd shapes like a u-bend

Screw a Ranger, I want a proper main series game with Wild Pokemon and shit. I'm sick of spin offs, adventures with shadow pokemon and "Stadium" type games.
