Well, at the weekend I got my Nintendo Wii.. but I’m not allowed it until Christmas :( lol. Anyways, what games can anyone recommend for it? So far, all I’ve got is Super Monkey Ball.

Elebits is supposed to be a lot of fun. Plus Twilight Princess, of course. Nothing else really comes out until March.

no Zelda!?!

Yeah, that would be the game to get... Also look at Trama Center (Sergury game), Elebits (puzzle/shooter), or Rayman (but you have Super Monkey Ball)

If you said what did you like, I could be more helpful.

BUdokai Tenkaichi 2 was fun for PS2, and the Wii looks even better.

PREORDER SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL

...Until then, Zelda: Twilight Princess should do you good. Also, try and get some of the "Older" games (Super Mario 64, etc.).

When you get a chance, GET RED STEEL. I already have it. But I don't have a Wii. o.0? It's a good thing I did too, because the next shipment they get in of the game isn't until early February. More Wii's, however, next month.

Yes, I've also heard Red Steel is dissapointing. Th gun parts are very bland, and use of the sword is limited to certain boss events, and isn't implemented that well with the controller - it doesn't swing naturally, only left right up and down.

The biggest reported problem with Red Steel is that it isn't really "revolutionary". But at the same time, it was a fine enough game in its own right.

Not that it "sucked", it just didn't live up to its hype (and being the very first Wii game announced and revealed, i'm not surprised - there was a lot to live up to).

I'll let you know after Christmas, but I'm looking forward to it. My aunt got it for me.

Not really. It got bad reviews because it was a sub par FPS that had horrible glitches, framerate issues, terrible control issues, and bad level design.

If anyone here bothered to read the reviews on IGN, Gamespot, or looked at Gamerankings or whatever, they detailed what exactly was wrong with the game. It was mostly crap.

^^^ No kidding. 64% on GameRankings >_>. Although I don't have an anecdotal account on how bad this game is, I'd rather not waste my time to gain the credibility of saying that Red Steel isn't worth playing.

^^;; well... it seems most Wii games are love or hate. I know this is heavily one as some reviewers give it 8s and 7s, while others give it 5s, and 6s. The main reason seems to be around the controlls not really being a traditional FPS.

Most people that play to the middle seem to get hooked and swear by the game, others get turned off the within the first hour. That's why IGN called it the Non-FPS gamer's FPS game, because if you don't care about FPS much or is a hard core fan, you may like it a lot.

A lot of Wii games are this way, unfortunately it must be driving reviewers batty.

I have also gotten my Wii for Christmas! And I must say, Wii Sports kicks so much ass, you'll probably go blind.

I tried to warn you guys about Red Steel... but noooo, and yes I can verify it does suck total.

If it weren't for the VC I wouldn't be touching the console at all...Street Fighter 2 is AWESOME.

Whats the premise of it though?

A boy lives in a world where electrical power comes from Elebits. Electronic alien fairies that are like a cross between Rotom, Pikmin, mice, and pixies. The boy wishes all the Elebits in the world away because he thinks his parents like the Elebits more than him. The Elebits go into hiding, turning off all the electricity in the world. Armed with a levitation gun, you have to search the boy's town to recapture all of the Elebits and restore electricity to the world.

Anyone get Elebits yet? How is that?

If you have a Wii, you need Elebits. Imagine being in a house from the Sims, with the Gravity Gun from Half-Life. Now imagine that you can use EVERYTHING in the house like you could in real life. You can toast bread, open every door, sort clothing, make coffee, go through underwear drawers. This game sounds cool enough as it is, but as you search every nook and cranny for tiny electric fairies which power up your gun to the point where you can toss pianos around with impunity - it's just genius.

This game is what you would have if you took the Sims, Katamari Damacy, and Pikmin all together and had them make sweet sweet love with eachother. I want to play every level until my eyes bleed. Nothing can describe the joy one experiences when shaking a vase, trying to unearth a secret cache of mobile electricity. Some levels are more tricky than others, requiring that you use finesse - either not breaking so many objects or keeping the noise down. It adds a surprising amount of depth to the gameplay. As the game progesses, more mutant species of Elebits will show up with different behavior patterns. Normal, Skittsh and Loud, Running, Farting, Flying, Merging.

Plus, there's plenty to unlock, too. You can make your own levels, and you can get new items for the level editor by getting high scores in every mission. Finding 3 Pink Elebits in each stage will bestow upon you Eternal Mode. Which is exactly what it was in Katamari Damacy.

I've played about 5 of the titles for the Wii, but out of all of them, Elebits not only makes the best use of the controller, but it's clearly something very special.

Well, guess who didn't get a Wii for Christmas.

Yeah Justin, I remeber you saying it would be no problem finding one. -_-

Ironically, I saw six a couple of weeks back just...sitting on a shelf outside the electronics section at a Toys R Us. But, I too am going without. Until i can hunt one down. Then it will be mine. Oh, yes...it WILL be mine. And a couple of games. To make it less creepy.
