Familiar with the Bulbagarden family of sites via the wiki, but finally decided to give a go on the forums after Discord wanted to do Age verification stuff - which I'm "sad" to say I wouldn't do. I'm Julikins on the interwebs, but sometimes I also go by my username/handle of ookamij64 or recently Feunard. Long time Pokemon fan since childhood and I guess I could say I grew up alongside the series up to now. Even as the approach of Generation 10 comes near, I do still feel a bit of a bittersweet feeling as I have no intentions of getting the Switch 2 so I would be missing out on Winds/Waves. Not exactly the first time I had missed the dawning of a new generation as it feels more natural to me if I was being honest.
Started with the anime/cartoon and Pokemon Yellow (Team Pika for the win I guess!), and favorite gens have been a mix of Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. I do like Kalos despite the ease of difficulty for those games. Long list of favorite mons and its always changing, but consistent favorites were Lucario, Riolu, Ninetales (had to edit her in, can't believe I forgot my favorite fire fox...), Vaporeon, Espeon, Clefable, and recently Azumarill. Favorite typing is maybe Steel, but I also like water and fairy types as well. Water mostly because I kind of see myself as a Dry Skin ability Pokemon to be honest. Never could do well in heat and hot days. Casual player all around, but I also like raising them with specific stats and see what works well for each. Also the same for shiny Pokemon, I sometimes just catch one because they look neat.
Aside from hoping to break loose from being so quiet a lot (ironically Naive natured), I guess I wanted to join the forums for Pokemon discussions and just seeing about finding other players to trade and do multiplayer features with. I don't mind battles, but I can be a bit competitive once we get to know each other more. Trying to find local players is a bit rough unfortunately as most are still playing Pokemon Go and not much into the mainline games, which I can't complain too awful much. I also like to read as well as writing and drawing, but good luck with having me do math... Moreso reading and drawing, than writing. Current works in writing is not exactly Pokemon related, but I have had the idea for a mystery dungeon crossover with the original characters from the current set of stories I've been building. Current reads are a fantasy book and another over the exploration of Lewis and Clark on the side.
As far as interactions go, I have some mental health and autistic which is not at all easy to admit. I avoid stepping on toes when it comes to specific topics of the franchise as well as beyond but more open to adjusting well to different situations when pointed into the right direction. I also use a mobile device to access the forums more than my personal computer so that means I might not go crazy with writing out posts as lengthy as this introductory one. It might be a while before I drop information such as Home code and PoGo FC as the first time I've done that I got overwhelmed with getting requests I was not expecting and reversed the idea altogether. I'll probably do more work on the profile after this thread gets posted, but feel free to leave some questions for me if you have one or DMs if that is available. I'll see most of you around, even I'm in the background lurking.
