All right, since the general forum isn't around for this kind of thing.

I'm told people were a little upset that Gyrados could be found in so many common places in FRLG by simply using a super rod. Well, after sifting through Pokearth on Serebii, I can tell you that Gyrados is once again the rare sea serpent available only where you could find it in GSC. No changes were made it appears.

Anyone else have any wild pokemon info they'd like to share?

I wanna know about Pokémon like Murkrow, Larvitar, Slugma, Sneasel, and Houndour.

Well, Sneasel looks like he's just a Mt. Silver again, but the others you mentioned are all capturable in the Safari Zone.

Seems none of the Johto pokemon I actually wish to train are up for capture until after the forth badge, and even then a few of them are beyond Mahogany. I could have sworn Snubbull could be found before Goldenrod at least.

Not to sound whiny, but this is what my biggest gripe was with the original games. It feels like I'm being forced to use gen 1 pokes :/

I am curious to know if Slugma is available in the Safari zone, however. That, I'd be content with. Teddiursa and Phanpy too.

He's in.

Sneasel isn't in the Ice Path or Seafoam Islands.

But Misdreavus is everywhere. The Cliff Cave at night is just one place.

Sneasel has to be lurking somewhere.

Why WOULDN'T they put Sneasel in the Ice Path though? They changed locations around in FireRed and LeafGreen...

I don't know. But then again, Sneasel in the Ice Path was Crystal only. But Serebii says he's only found one on Route 28 or Mt. Silver.
