Will Akuroma be in the anime? If so, then what will be his role?

Akuroma is a new BW2 pokemon researcher character who is important enough to appear in the promo vid AND the opening title sequence.

How will he appear in the anime? What will be his role?
 
I don't think he will. It seems like his thing would be way too complex for the anime, not that I'm even sure on what he's trying to do.
 
They obviously banned anything Plasma-related from the anime, so no...

Yes sadly, given the apparent embargo on Team Plasma and related characters since March 2011, Corless has a scarce chance of appearing in the series at all, so the anime has to use the now tiresome Team Rocket Trio for the villains for all of Best Wishes. This "Plasma Embargo" applies to all Team Plasma characters, being N, Ghetsis, Corless, the Shadow Triad, etc.

This will also make the Genesect movie next year VERY confusing, they would have to use an anime only villian team (or worse, Team Rocket, AGAIN).

I won't be surprised if they'd use an anime-only character for that case even if Plasma was in the anime...

It is actually not complex, but rather just nonsensical. He tries to bring out Pokémon's strength by pitting them in stressful situations. Apparently, what he's really interested in is the bond between trainers and Pokémon, but he was willing to jeopardize that relationship by helping Ghetsis.

No, there's is no longer any time to show case Plasma and their key members since Ash will be leaving Unova by the end of the year. Right now he's preoccupied with Junior Cup and Unova League along with Protecting Melonetta from TRio, along with episodes to show case his rivals and friends. They could throw in a Special similar to the Raikou Crystal Saga, but's there's little time there to show case all three of Plasma's Bosses (N, Achroma, and Ghetsis). So I think it was best for ShoPro skip Plasma altogether since Generation 5 is over.

Also, isn't this and the Genesect movie Topic be moved to the Current Event: Best Wishes 2 U forum?

If anything, at LEAST have Team Plasma in the Genesect movie, even if it's the new Porygon and GS Ball, besides, Team Rocket is so TIRESOME anymore, and an anime-only villian would just ruin Genesects existence, as it's very Pokedex entry in both BW1 and BW2 blatantly mentions Team Plasma.
 
Nope. It's far, far too late. He doesn't stand a snowball's chance, just like everyone else tied to TP :-(
 
But couldn't they even make Akuroma appear as just a researcher totally unrelated to Team Plasma? I know this will make the fans rage, but he could just have a filler episode or something.

Just like how they did with Steven when he was supposed to the champion. They never mentioned anything special about him and all he had was one filler episode. Wynaut Akuroma?
 
The new VILLAIN who leads Team Plasma?
I hope Akuroma appears soon in the anime :)
 
Well considering Plasma's been overlooked and overshadowed already, I doubt he'd even be in it. And if he is, it would probably be a minor role only.

Really I've lost all hope for anything important involving Plasma in the Anime (Well aside from the Rocket/Plasma arc, but that's been long forgotten by the makers. D:)
 
But it's still early in the second season - who knows, Team Plasma could invade the World Junior Tournament XDD And Akuroma (as well as N) will appear ... maybe?

It just seemed like you could get away with that back in 2000. Now, the anime seems more light. I just don't see it.

I agree, the anime is far lighter in tone than it was in the first two seasons, it seems like they are unable to make any serious or complex storylines, just cheap, copy and paste one-episode-long stories. Also, the anime has proven that it cannot handle complex characters, or villain teams not named "Team Rocket", Team Magma and Aqua were handled poorly, and each of their appearances, while limited to, at most, 10 out of 200 episodes of AG, was basically the two organizations either stealing something, or bickering about each other, all with virtually NO conflict. Team Galactic was handled good (most of the time), despite their very limited appearances (like Team Magma and Aqua, they only appeared in 10 out of 200 episodes), but Cyrus was handled terribly, being completely stripped of all his character and intention, and turned into a generic cartoon villain who wants to take over the world (OF COURSE!!!), I fear the same would have happened to Team Plasma if they ever appeared.

This is also why they never brought back the GS ball, as they hoped that kids would forget about it and be more entertained by the anime's constant copy-and-paste plots, and they did the same to Team Plasma as well, they seem to think that the anime's viewers are dumber than Beavis and Butthead (yes I know the Pokemon anime is a kids show, but even then, the writers seem to be aiming for the lowest common denominator possible).

I feared at one point they would do that to N, by making him a Tobias expy at the end of the league, and having Ash lose the league to a legendary, with nothing after that happening but N winning the tournament, and no N's castle coming out from the ground or anything, just NOTHING but Ash going to the Gen 6 region, Corless would end up the same as N, even though he never used legendaries in the game...

That could happen, but it's best not to keep hopes up for now, even then, it will only be the black terrorist outfitted "Neo Team Plasma" headed by Ghetsis and Corless, with no mention or sighting of the old white knight Team Plasma led by N, just the new ones and their intentions in order to tie in with BW2.

And even then, the anime writers cannot seem to use any villains not named Jessie, James, and Meowth, so for now, it's best not to get any hopes up at this point.
