Will Ash and Trip have a full battle before the league?

So I was wondering will Ash and Trip have a full battle before the league like Ash and Paul? If so who do you think will win?
 
I believe it is likely, and Trip will likely win to reestablish himself as a powerful trainer, possibly after having some sort of Epiphany.
 
No, Ash and Stephan will. The Donamite made it so Stephan and Ash re the series' primary rivals. JUST BECAUSE TRIP WAS INTRODUCED FIRST DOES NOT MAKE HIM THE EQUAL OF PAUL IN IMPORTANCE.

Stephan has appeared and won more, and is a better character.

Trip is not easy to write for, so using Stephan as full battle fodder would be a better choice.
 
I am starting to think Trip will be the losing rival of the season now.
 
They might, but it wouldn't redeem him no matter the outcome. To reiterate idea that he is strong would be horribly forced, and it would only reinforce my perception that he just power levels. Not to mention that Ash losing in this saga is no longer a surprise. For Trip to lose would further discredit him and make whatever efforts they have with him even more pointless.
 
Anything is possible with this series, and I only say this much because the majority of the recurring characters/rivals are only appearing in these small tournament story arcs that seem to have very little relation to the overall anime plot. Trip hasn't been seen battling with more than one pokemon in almost forty episodes, which is an indication that the writers may or may not plan to give him more character development anytime soon. Ash has already won six of the eight badges that he needs to compete in the Unova League, and it is impossible to tell how long it will take him to earn the remaining two badges.

It will be a miracle if the writers will decide to integrate the recurring characters into an episode that is not related to these mini-tournaments.

He only lost two battles on-screen, and by using the exact same pokemon, so it does not indicate much about Trip's battling skills. Trip probably lost in these two tournaments because the writers wanted to focus more of their screentime on the other rivals (i.e. Stephan, Bianca, Georgia). Trip already had a lot of screentime prior to these two tournaments, while these other rivals had only one or two episodes under their belt before the start of the Club Battle.

Four of Stephan's wins were from just one tournament, however. Technically, Bianca and Georgia have won more on-screen battles than Trip as well, but this does not mean that they are better battlers. We really can't get a proper gauge of Trip's skills as a battler if he keeps losing with just one of his pokemon.

I hope Trip fails the league early like Gary back in Indigo.

The writers clearly realize their mistake of making Trip a Mary Sue when he debuted as well as a poor man's version of Paul. So after the fandom disdain and indifference the writers are trying to salvage the character by making him lose more to weaker characters.

If he battles Ash again I expect Ash to defeat him early
 
If they do, id mostly be curious as to what team Ash would use. Id hope for a mix, and not just pikachu, the starters, scraggy and a wild card. At this point id expect Trip to have a reasonably developed team, something which Ash is currently lacking, so yea id expect Trip to win (if they were to battle now). To be honest id rather he had a full battle with Bianca, be more entertaining
 
Nah... a 6 vs 6 battle with Trip is going to be a rip-off of Ash vs Paul 6:6. I would rather prefer Bianca or Stephen to take the job.
 
I'd rather not see it. I don't need to see Ash lose and Ash beating him would make his role in the league even more redundant.

Trip is just a mishandled character altogether and since we're almost at league time anyway I wouldn't be surprised if they just drop him from the show. He was like an experiment that backfired...they'll likely just focus on the 3 girls + Kenyan after.
 
Eh, what's the point.
If Trip wins he'll be all like "oh, you're not even worth my time, don't talk to me again".
If Ash wins he'll just turn around and walk off like he's done at both the Don George tournaments.

Hey writers, I've got a crazy idea. Have Trip actually do something, so we'll have a reason to be invested in a full battle in the first place...

If Trip Wins then I'm Gonna Stop Watching Pokemon For Good,
HE IS A ROCKY FOR A GOD SAKE.
Isn't it enough for Trip lover's that he beaten Ash two time's !
Ash & Trip should have a full battle with Ash as a Victor.
It should be a full battle that develop Trip's character , He lose's to Ash and learn that the Basic and power isn't everything in Battle.
Ash is more experience and mature trainer then Trip. It will always remain this way !
SO ASH SHOULD BECOME TRIP'S MENTOR , NOT A INFERIOR RIVAL WHO TRYING TO BEAT HIM.
Just because it was okay with Paul doesn't mean its okay with Trip.
Is There any rule book that say that if A cold , rude and arrogant same aged rival appear then he will be better then Ash until then pokemon league even if he's a Beginner !
No matter , A good a Child Prodigy is ! he can't beat sudden level people without experience !
With 5 year experience and achievement , Ash should be in that level !
Here what should happen-
Ash meet another weaker trainer training hard while Clian and Bianca got defected by Trip in Battle club. Trip battle that weak kid and defect him. Then he mock's all his hard work. This make Ash furious.
He challenge Trip a battle. This time he battle Trip with a serious tune. Trip took him lightly until Ash one pokemon took down Trip 3 pokemon . Trip start to panic.
He start to think how Ash is so different from the last time he battle him. He start to wonder if Ash always was THIS STRONG. Ash also reveal that he never battle this seriously because he wanted to take his time to develop his relation and Strength of his pokemon.
Ash told Trip all his weakness. Ash told him How meaningless his so called BASIC is !, how trainer need to develop their relation with there pokemon , How trainer needs to learn from their experience !
Ash say Trip has No Right To Mock Anyone if he doesn't understand all this !
Then Ash beat him and Trip grown has respect & Admiration toward him.
Then Ash enter the final ''Don Hosted Tournament '' and Win. After that tournament a Mysterious trainer shows up who was watching the tournament and challenge Ash.
Ash got crush by him and he leave saying that there are 2 other trainer nearly as invincible as him is going to enter the league conference so he should train hard.
Ash goes through special training and face that mysterious Trainer in semi-final and beat him but Ash got defect by another trainer with similar mindset as him in the final.
So, If writer think with a little more creativity then he can create a good main rival after Ash get 8 badge so we don't need to go all Trip ! Trip ! Trip !
Writer obsession with Trip as Main rival prove that they lack's CREATIVITY !
 
they really should have! For progress! The 3 on 3 battle was pretty good! Imagine a 6 on 6, wanna see how Frilish moved on! And Ash should fight with his non starter Pokemon! Bolodre, Krokorok, Palpitoad and Leavanny!

We need some progress on the Trip side! And we need it fast! Cause we are almost at the league! XD and Conkeldurr needs some progress and finnally a win! !

For who is Ash's main Unova rival! It's probably Trip cause of all the importance they gave him! I don't like his progress but we can't choose everything! I like Stephen and Bianca as well! And would rather see a ash vs Bianca 6 on 6! I'm still hoping for Cheren or N to appear and rock our world!
 
Maybe,but if so Ash will lose or at least get a draw,I believe that their full battle will be in the league when Ash beats him.
