Will Ash be taking more of a “Gary-role” in BW?

Will having more than 6 change Ash's training style?

  • Yes, with 6+ he has to adjust to the way each of them trains

He is catching more Pokemon than usual in the same region. Back in the Kanto days, Gary said that he kept rotating his Pokemon in order to make sure that they get bigger and stronger and I’m sure he did the same while in Johto.

Now that Ash has more than 6 Pokemon unlike he did in Hoenn where he used the same 6 throughout the entire saga, will he be rotating more? I mean the only time I remember him doing it was for Swadloon and Pidove ten or so episodes back.

If he does I hope that it means he will do more training than he has been doing thus far in Unova. His Scraggy hasn’t really shown itself to be that much stronger than when he hatched.

How do you think him having more than 6 Pokemon will change the way Ash trains: during gym matches because he has more than 6 to choose from and how he will fair in the league? With 6+ he has more variety of types to choose from like Paul and Gary plan their matches ahead of time to pick the best Pokemon to get the job done.

P.S. check out my profile and tell me if you like the upgrades I've done to it.

I think he will rotate but only when he feels he really needs to since he's been going around with the same team since Burghs gym. I'm not seeing much chance he will be like gary since gary caught many pokemon of different types, Ash's Swadloon and Palpitoad could be seen as a second option to Snivy and Oshawott rather than taking on their own niche in the team. All in all I don't see Ash changing.
