With their recent participation in the Don Battle Tournament, do you think that Cabernet, Dent's sommelier rival, and Langley, Iris' Dragon Buster rival will make an appearance in the Isshu League as competitors, rivals for Satoshi to face off against?

In Cabernet's case, we know she at least won one badge at the Sanyou gym, and that while she's training as a sommelière, she originally wanted to be a trainer, pursuing this goal solely as a vendetta against Dent. The writers really haven't shown her to be all to proefficient at sommeliering, so perhaps a future development would be for her to reconnect with her original goal.

In Langley's case, while she seems very motivated to fight and defeat dragon masters, she still participated in the Don Battle Tournament without really knowing whether or not she would actually face a Dragon pokémon. Given that the Black and White games have two gym leaders, could it be that Langley will be revealed to have collected gym badges around Isshu and face off against Iris to earn her eight while Satoshi battles Shaga?

Yes. Though with Burgundy, I'm not so sure, she might've only collected one badge just for the sake of beating Cilan, but even though he wasn't there, she still battled and accepted the badge.

That's a good theory with Georgia, though I had another theory where Ash and Trip would have to team up in a tag battle to battle Iris and Drayden. I guess it Iris battles Georgia and Ash battles Drayden, Ash could still have a big battle with Iris later to make up for it. So yeah, I think they should participate, as well as Stephan, Luke,(Maybe) Trip and Bianca.

English please. Who are Cabernet and Langley? Where is Sanyou gym and who is Shaga?

We let our users use any official names that they like, regardless of language. If you're unsure of a name, the http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/f228/japanese-english-name-translations-111376/ is a good place to look as well as Bulbapedia. Cabernet is Burgundy, Langley is Georgia, Sanyou is Striaton City and Shaga is Drayden.

With methods of finding out these names, please do not post just to ask users to use English names in future.

Hopefully for Cabernet/Burgandy. I was psyched when she got the Tri Badge, so I look forward to her League appearance. They better not give her a loss opportunity like they did with Casey in Johto.

Langley/Georgia is a bit tough to say. Although I don't mind her being in the league for more busting, unless we actually see any badges she earned, I'll say for now she may not be in the league. VS Drayden I see possibly. The league? Hmm.

Honestly, I don't think so. I think we'll see Trip, Bianca, and Kenyan at the league, but none of the others.

No, Langley and Cabernet seem too invested in their respective rivals to end up having a final showdown with Ash. Even though, Ash defeated them both they still retained their interest in their rivals. Though I could easily see Luke being the Conway of this season..appearing in the league.

I can't see Langley entering. Definitely not Cabernet. The Isshu league isn't just something you can decide to enter. Cabernet secretly collecting gym badges seems quite hard to believe. Langley is slightly more of a serious competitor, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

I would kinda like Langley to be a rival to both Ash and Iris, but maybe that's just me.

Bah, I don't see either of them as league rivals. Cabernet lost her interest in it pretty quickly as soon as she became obsessed with Dent a Pokemon sommeliere. And Langley is too obsessed with dragons. :p However, the Iris and Langley rivalry gaining some footing at the 8th gym is worth interest over. That would be fascinating.

We'll see. They're both essentially (if even rivals at all) only Ash's secondary rivals (they are primarily Iris and Cilan's rivals), Burgundy is a Pokemon Connaisseuse first and gym challenger second, and we don't even know if Georgia is aiming for the Unova League at all - so I'd actually be more surprised if they did.

I would like to see them in there. But, as we knows, they're not really interested in badge-collecting. Cabernet didn't say anything about other gyms or their leaders.

Burgundy vs. Ash

come on, every1 would love to see a 6-0 beating by the hands of Ash, Charizard, Snorlax, and Pika.

But I don't see Langley in the league, maybe as a cheerlaeader for Ash, but dats it

I can imagine a Satoshi vs. Cabernet battle taking place more than Satoshi vs. Langley. For one, Cabernet's already earned a badge, plus she and Satoshi have had enough interactions to where a battle between them in the league seems plausible. Sure, he battled Langley, but that was more of a random match-up as opposed to his battle with Cabernet, who had judged his Pokémon beforehand rather harshly and incorrectly. In that battle, he had something to prove, a reason to battle that specific character.

However, I feel like that tension between them is over now after Satoshi beat her in the Don Battle Tournament. The writers could either cut off their subplot now or find a way to continue it. I'd prefer the latter because I find Cabernet an interesting character, and I think the writers can do well with her and Satoshi's interactions. Realistically, they probably won't progress the semi-rivalry, and I don't think they'll face off in the league.

Wolverine, I like your theory of Langley facing Iris for the eighth badge while Satoshi squares off against Shaga, but I still don't think something as trivial as that will be enough for the writer's to place Langley in the league.

Why would she be a chearleader for Ash???

I can see them in the league actually. Why not? They are on journeys and they seem to be competitive battlers with great personalities. I predict both will face Ash in the Unova league and I am pretty sure he will beat both of them then lose to an overpowered COD.

I'm not so sure about Burgundy and Georgia. I know Burgundy does have the Trio Badge, and so far we've had no news if Georgia has even fought in a gym cause she pretty much only challenges dragon type users. We know Trip and Bianca are gonna be in the league and I can see Stephan being there as well.

For all we know, they don't collect badges. Cabernet/Burgundy didn't show any badges at Don Battles.

Eww...

Cabernet seems pretty smitten with being a Sommeliere, so I don't think she'll change back over. Her goal is to become a S-Class Sommeliere and thrash Dento in a Sommelier battle/showdown, and the Isshu League wouldn't really contribute to that.
Langley, no, unless the Gym leaders start to all specialize in Dragon-Types.

Well, I am not sure
On the 1st hand cadernet is a pokemon connoisseur but she was a Gym challenger & has a Gym leader
But she Challenge Striation city gym 2nd time Gym to get back Cilan but missed him
While although Langley only interested in Dragon type she might consider about entering a League in hope of Battle many Dragon pokemon
But we already saw how it would be like if they enter same tournament as Ash So Writer might think it would better if Ash face new trainer in Unova League
