Will Cartoon Network have a sneak peek for SM?

As we might remember for the premiere of the XY anime, Cartoon Network had a sneak peek of the first two episodes two days after it premiered in Japan. These sneak peeks had unedited BGM scores and several lines were roughly made for the sneak peek and were re-edited for the proper premieres on January 2014.

So could we expect a sneak peek this time around for SM, presumably on November 19?

It's entirely possible. Sun/Moon are being released in multiple countries around the same time, much like X/Y, and airing a sneak peek of the new series would help to promote it and get kids excited for the new series. I forget when we heard about the X/Y sneak peek for Cartoon Network, but we'll probably learn more about it whenever we get all of the November premiere schedule for the channel.

I just hope that they'll actually promote it and put it at a decent timeslot. They have barely promoted the most recent season and even the Kalos League is stuck at the 7AM deathslot. Say what you will about the Kalos League, but I don't think it deserves to be put in a terrible timeslot like that. At this rate, they could finish off the series completely without giving it a decent timeslot.

If it happened once with the X&Y anime, it could happen again with the Sun and Moon anime, probably

We normally do get a sneak peek of the new series. XY was the first time we got it so soon after the Japanese premiere, as I think it was just a few days later, but I clearly remember the sneak peeks for AG and DP as well. I don't recall if we got a sneak peek at BW or if they just started off the series with premiering the first two episodes at the same time. Either way, I think that does make it more likely for them to do something with the SM anime.

Chances are decent...but I won't be surprised/disappointed if it doesn't happen.

Pokémon isn't as popular in the US as it was (even with GO, whose glow has faded). Even disregarding that, CN has more or less run out of fucks to give about the TV Show:(

To be fair, it wasn't like the popularity was booming for the anime when we got the XY sneak peek a few days after it aired in Japan, so I don't think that would play a huge factor in getting a sneak peek at SM.

Honestly, I can't remember the Pokemon anime ever having a decent time slot aside from the OS when it aired on The WB. Brand new episodes of the anime have been relegated to Saturday mornings since the original series.

Well, now that it's confirmed that the first two weeks of the anime will be a one-hour special, chances are it might happen here as well, probably

Maybe, maybe not. They air the pokemon series pretty early in the morning from where I am so online is the best I could do. I have no access to Cartoon Network since I don't have Sky.

There was a time when new DP episodes were showing weekday evenings.

I recall Cartoon Network giving Pokemon pretty good treatment for the first couple of years after it got premiere episodes. We had weekday premieres not only for DP, but for the Battle Frontier season as well. It's why they were eventually able to shorten the gap between the two versions. The 4Kids dub was about a year behind for quite some time, but getting weekday premieres helped to shorten it to where we only have around a two month gap. They seemed to have stopped the weekday premieres after the Hearthome City Tag Battle arc unfortunately.

It is a huge contrast to how they treat the series now with barely any promotion and a 7AM slot even for the Kalos League.

You never know, things might happen in the future, but if they indeed to a Sun & Moon sneak peek then it will have to be a full hour special for the first two weeks, but as mentioned things might happen

I doubt Cartoon Network gives a Rattata's ___ about Pokemon XYZ at this point. It hasn't gotten any promotion in months.

While it's true Cartoon Network hasn't done any promotion at all lately, I can't see them passing up the chance to have a sneak peek. The Sun and Moon video games are just around the corner, so having commercials for both the video games and the sneak peek would benefit both formats greatly. Also, I'm pretty sure the amount of viewers tuning in will be even higher considering this sneak peek, in estimation, air mere days after the same episodes have aired in Japan. Sure, I still expect it to air in the exact same Saturday morning time slot, but it only makes sense a sneak peek of this new series would do considerably better than the final season of XY, especially since there hasn't been a new main series respective game to keep the viewer interest in almost two years (if I remember correctly).

In Europe we will have a special Sneak Peek of Sun and Moon Series + Volcanion Movie on 18° and 19° November.
Country for now confirmed with this sneak peek:
Germany, France.
Probably US will have this preview too! :)

Source? If we get this same preview, it will be on the 19th, because heaven forbid anything new ever airs on anything but a Saturday.

7am? That's pretty early. I remember catching it on the WB at 9 or 10am. 8am every now and then. Was a great motivator getting my butt out of bed.

But now we have YouTube, Netflix, and DVR.
