Sinnoh saga is too long and could have more episodes than Hoenn saga and Battle Frontier saga. What do you think?

Sinnoh has already lasted longer than Johto, the previous longest lasting region. As for lasting longer than AG, we still don't know if that'll happen. I counted the amount of eps possible up to the release of the movie, and it would bring us up to only 185 or so. We will clearly have eps of DP beyond the movie, but I can't say for certain how many. It would only take 13 eps to match the length of AG beyond that. (DP would have to last clear into October for that to happen) As for Dawn being around longer than May, remember that May had a few eps in DP, so the amount of eps she's been in is actually a few more than the length of AG.

If DP ends this year and Dawn leaves, she'll be in it maybe 10-15 more eps than May.

DP is up to 168 episodes now, AG was 191. So it still has a bit to go.

DP will end this year, and it is very likely to happen in late September, giving it a total of around 195 episodes. In that case, it will just barely be longer than AG, even though it will have been airing for three months longer (this is due to all the breaks).

Makes me wonder if they'll give the whole Grand Festival Arc, if its 3 episodes again, a special dedicated to airing the whole thing like they did for the Hoenn Grand Festival.

I kinda hope though they make the Grand Festival a bit longer (but not too long), even if by a single episode. I didn't hate the previous ones, but they did get a bit rushed near the end.

Perfect answer, Sceptile726! :)

Right now it's hard to determine if May or Dawn will have more episodes.

The Sinnoh saga has gone on for a while, so I say that Dawn will have more episodes than May did.

If Sinnoh/the DP series in general will end by fall 2010, then Dawn would be in equal or slightly more episodes than May. So it's not a huge difference really. It basically means Sinnoh was long as Hoenn and BF combined.

Possibly.
DP is likely to end this year, considering that Gen V is bound to come out in Fall of 2010.
By the end of March/beginning of Apri, we'll be up to DP171. The projected release for the Gen V games and likewise the next anime series will be 6 months from that point.
So chances are Diamond and Pearl will end around the 190-195 range, same or even slightly higher than Advanced Generation. There will be a break during the week of the next movie's release in mid-July, so we probably won't have a full 26 episodes after the April 1 special. Regardless, chances are that Diamond and Pearl will run slightly more episodes than Advanced Generation.
If one follows the Bulbapedia episode count, May would have been featured in 192 Advanced Generation episodes and 4 Diamond and Pearl episodes. That would be 196 episodes. Considering how Dawn is bound for a guest starring appearance in the next anime series and she will have 190+ episodes by the time this is over, she'll probably have more episodes than May did.

Yeah, I imagine at most it'll be about a 5-10 ep difference. And honestly, who cares? Do people out there actually keep track of the amount of episodes each character is in?

Brock is in like 620+ something episodes, yet he's focused on in about 30 of those 620 episodes.

I care, Dawn kicks butt.

Ash releases too many pokemon. If anyone should go, it should be him.

* Still better than Tracey!

Aww, poor Tracey, he deserves better.

Not that I have been counting or anything but I would have thought Dawn had already been around the longest. The Sinnoh ark seems to have lasted forever. Oh well, you can't argue with the figures.

I tracked movies. I half expected Dawn to be gone after DP movie 3, since Misty had 5 and May had 4. Don't care about episodes. I like Dawn and I'm sure I'll like who comes next.

Dawn has been stalking Ash since day one, so of course she has had more eps than May.

I REALLY hope Dawn just gets booted, and they bring Misty back.

Now for the on topic-

Yup,she already did
