Will Leaf make an appearance in the anime?

Do you think Leaf from the FR & LG games will make an appearance in the anime?
I hope so.

Unless the writers want her to show up as some last-minute rival somewhere, I think its too late.

Would be nice to see her get a few eps, just so every female protagonist got an anime counterpart.

It's extremely unlikely since all the really important characters that live in Pallet town have already been established. Ash barely spends any time back home before starting another journey in a new region, hence why we haven't got Daisy/May Oak as well.

There also wouldn't be much point in introducing a character who's pretty much Ash's female clone in the games. In the other games where you can choose gender, the opposite gender character usually plays a role in the storyline, either as a rival or an important NPC, thus they could be viewed as separate characters.

This isn't the case for "Leaf". She has no appearence at all in FR/LG's storyline if you chose the male character, nor does she even appear in HG/SS. The poor dear doesn't even have a proper name, unlike all the other "established" characters based on the protagonists.

It's extremely doubtful at this point, but it's still possible. As PDL pointed out, Ash doesn't spend a whole lot of time at home, but he does pass by after every region. They could simply make her be the CotD when he stops in after Sinnoh. She could be a new trainer or something.

You'd think that seeing as she's Red's counterpart and all, she sadly wouldn't appear in the anime, just like Red.

She already did.

No reason for Leaf to appear. She had her chance in Hoenn or Kanto Battle Frontier, but I guess the writers just forgot her.

Leaf can just get a cameo at the beggining of one of the movies or something. And I don't get this whole Pallet town thing..she can be from Viridian City since it doesn't really affect the chances of the character appearing.

the whole Pallet town thing is because Leaf starts her journey off in Pallet town in the games. Although I suppose she could be from Viridian City.

On topic: I would really like Leaf to make an appearance, but unfortunately I think the most she will get is probably just a brief movie cameo.

Probably not, but I wish she would. I always loved Leaf, and I don't think it's fair that all the other female protagonists made appearances except for her.

Leaf however..

Game Freak hates her. It's quite obvious.

If she ever appears in a future game, which she should, I could see her appearing with a Charizard.

Besides, Leaf is just too damn overrated for me to care about.
