Will May and Max ever leave the show?

Do you think that Ash's new companions May and Max will ever leave the show, like Misty did? I hope that they both stay on the show permanently with Ash and Brock, since it was bad enough to see Misty leave us.

Probably. The precedent has been set, and they'll want to make room for a character that can effectively advertise the new generation once it comes.

I just hope nobody here has too big of a meltdown over May's departure if it eventually happens.

I think this will happen too. But May will stay as another traveling buddy to max. And ash will retire after winning the hoenn league.

You may be right about Haruka, but I dunno, maybe it is about time for a more girly traveling companion, since both Kasumi and Haruka are kind of tomboy-ish.

What would be the point of bringing in two new characters just to replace them again with new characters?

If the writers keep bringing in new characters every generation, that would mean the old ones would never come back. That would never happen.
