Will Team Magma and Team Aqua receive a better plot?

It's boggling me at the moment, but it seems like I Maxie, am not being shown in this series much at all, despite my role being so important in the games? I know past seasons didn't follow the villain hero plots at all, so we're lucky we're even appearing at all, but couldn't they stay a little closer to the story of the games? Will we see more focused appearances from Team Magma and Team Aqua in the future?

Hope so, especially when the anime has gone as far as to announce the double champions taking part in the Magma vs Aqua plot. They made it sound like they mean business, so I'm anticipating a better storyline for both Magma and Aqua.

Even it is horrible, it would still be several times better than the Team Rocket plot or lack-thereof.

I hope Takeshi Shudo gets on board with this. That guy seems to get the short end of the stick despite writing a majority of the classic characters and the beginning parts of the anime.

It will have an amazing plot, worthy of the story they're adapting. For something like this they'll get their best animators on the job and it will be the most incredibly animated, action packed story arc you've ever seen. It'll be a seriously QUALITY arc, it will.

The only reason why Misty is gone from the show is so they can integrate her into the Team Magma/Aqua plot.

My idea is that Misty will join Team Aqua and bond with Kyogre. She'll use it to defeat Team Magma before realizing that she's one of the bad guys. So she and Kyoger, her Golduck, Kingdra, Starmie, Corsola, and Politoed take on Team Aqua and the remains of Team Magma by themselves.
