Remember the Shadow Pokemon from the two Gamecube games? Anyway, does anyone think that Shadow Pokemon will be in Pokemon Black and White Versions? I sure hope so! Anyone feel free to post news and opinions regarding this topic on Shadow Pokemon.

I don't particularly think we'll see them, nor do I think there's any reason they'd be there.

I'm pretty sure Shadow Pokemon were only in the Orre region.

I wish. The Orre Region based games were great RPGs for the Gamecube. Wish they would do something similar in the future.......

Not very likely, and I'm glad too. I didn't really like the idea of having to catch Pokemon from somebody else then having it take forever to cleanse it.

Why would there be? It was an Orre exclusive thing.

And I wouldn't want it. I kinda hated the idea despite liking XD.

It's very, very unlikely, though it would be nice to see.

A no for me, too.

Shadow Pokemon seemed like a pretty cheesey concept anyway; more like a way to put an original spin on Pokemon games so that people would buy them without breaking the tradition that all Pokemon RPGs were all on handheld consoles.

Just because one of the games is called "Black" it doesn't mean it's related to Shadow Pokémon, especially when that's a non-canonical concept introduced in a spin-off series and never bought in again outside that particular series.

I'd like to see shadow pokémon make a main series return but I doubt it'd happen.

I'm sorry to sound all fanboy-ish, but actually, Pokemon Coliseum and Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness take place 10 or so years in the future from what I can tell, so actually, they are canon. The argument against this, "but there aren't generation IV or V pokemon in those games!", is just as easily defeated as "Sephiroth is the most awesome villan ever!" (with my apologies to UltimateSephiroth). I know the only pokemon in those games are generation I to III pokemon, but what would you expect? Coliseum and XD were both 3rd generation games!

Anyway, there's a lot that can be done with the shadow pokemon concept. Maybe they could go into detail about the shadowfying process or something. I would like to see shadow pokemon return, even if it isn't in Black and White versions. I also think Wes deserves a cameo.

I hope not. I'll admit, I was amused by being able to steal people's pokemon without a cheating device but that amusement only lasted so long. Not to mention that in the games they were in there were little to no wild pokemon and I'd hate to see that happen again, a risk you're running when you have a game that you can just take other people's pokemon.

i wasnt a big fan during tthe shadow pokemon times but i have seen pictures of shadoww lugia prettycool maybe add it as something like shinys

...No they don't? They can trade with RSE and FRLG, which shows they take place around the same time.

What about the "dark" pokemon from the old rocket tcg set? Not dark type but just "dark pokemon". Or is that basically the same concept?

It would be a cool way to incorporate a new shiny type concept

Isn't that basically the same thing? I'm not really well-informed on the TCG, though, so...
