So what do you think the chances of that being a major pairing by this time next year are?

If she appears in the anime, I think it's a certaincy.
 
I think ash needs a new outfit so he could look as hip as her. I also think she could be paired with him.

Does anyone even ship LG girl with Ash?

You know what would be funny though? If the D/P female character becomes Ash's new rival, and then we'd have an Ash version of Contestshipping. :D

If she apppears in the anime, then she'll definitely be paired up with Ash. No question about it.

I don't know who to ship her with. I can see her being a bit of a flirt towards Ash and him... not getting it. For some reason, the idea of Misty having a snitfit at her is a lot less horrendous than the speculative Misty/May catfights of yore.
 
I kind of want to ship her with May.

If not, May should at least get to wear her outfit. Oooh, although I bet Misty would look even better in that black/pink combo. Minus the hat, perhaps.

Speaking of which, doesn't Brendan wear a hat rather like that one? Without the pink symbol, obviously.
 
I already ship her with the D/P guy.

If she does join Ash's group in the anime, people will take the ship super-seriously even if there isn't a hint at all. People are weird like that. (Yes, I did type that.)

Anyway, this is completely random, or am I the only one that finds that D/P heroes absolutely hot? Well, the guy could do without the spiky or curly hair, but still. Unfortunately, if the girl does appear in the anime, her skirt will be longer. See: Hianta.

I wonder if the D/P characters will get to appear at all. They could pull a Johto and only have them show up in a special (ala Kenta and Marina) and not have Ash ever see them...

I did once, but it kinda died out because she never did get anime-ified. My imagination is limited like that D:

I really like the D/P girl, though. Hopefully she will at least pull a Ranger thing and show up once in a while because of some events.
However, I dislike the idea of her joining the group and travel with them. I don't know exactly why, the idea just doesn't phase me.
 
I already expect her to be paired with the boy in game canon, especially if the situation is similar to Brendan/May in Ruby and Sapphire.

I know, and it would be nice for Ash to have a female rival. It would be a funny ship too, especially if Drew is still around, and then the two rivals meet each other...and the female rival acts just like Drew...and then the rivals...ah...I'm getting ahead of myself here. :p
 
I just hope that May is not taking off the show and than replace by her.. gerrrrrrrrrr
 
Why do people keep suggesting that anyway? You do realize the writers almost never introduce the new game characters to the main cast? I love how paranoid some people have become since the new D/P characters have been revealed.

It would be nice to have two girls on the group, May and the D/P girl, or have the D/P girl as a rival, because other than that, then they may not introduce her at all.
 
Here's a thought. Should some people's predictions be correct and Drew leaves after AG181, what if she becomes May's new rival? If she then also became a love interest for Ash, she has a link to both of them.

The advantage of Drew is that he is purely linked to May's quest and the ship can continue if she leaves. (Note that this was going through the minds of the writers at the beginning of Hoenn and has no effect on whether she leaves now.) If they want May in the next saga, (and even keeping Drew and having the girl as the new second rival that matter,) then it would create an interesting new angle.

And just for fun:
Also have Brock also go ga-ga for her. (At least at first.)
Bring in AdvanceShipping and add extra tension to the rivalry.
 
So... we'd end up with a Brock/DP girl/Ash/May/Drew pentagon-y thing? Might be a bit dramatic for Pokemon, but they could pull bits of it off if they played it for laughs. Brock drooling over D/P girl while she flirts with an oblivious and very confused Ash would be funny. I think I'd rather see May as an enthusiastic spectator for the whole affair, giving out lectures and advice to the boys from time to time, though. Or, alternatively, bring back Misty and make her have snitfits over D/P girl instead. Jealous!Misty is always entertaining, and for some reason I think that triangle would be more humorous, and therefore less soapy, than D/P girl/Ash/May. I dunno why - maybe it's because Pokeshipping is funnier than Advanceshipping? Not that I know how the writers would do Advanceshipping in the first place.

Whichever way it goes, though, there'd be a lot of choices available for final pairings:

1. Brock/D/P girl
2. Ash/D/P girl
3. Ash/May
4. Ash/Misty
5. May/Drew
6. Brock/D/P girl + Ash/May
7. Brock/D/P girl + Ash/Misty
8. Brock/D/P girl + May/Drew
9. Ash/D/P girl + May/Drew
10. Ash/Misty + May/Drew
11. Brock/D/P girl + Ash/Misty + May/Drew
 
I imagine D/P girl is too young for Brock. Just like Brock never went ga-ga over May/Misty, he probably wouldn't for her either.
 
Brock has gone ga-ga over May, or rather watch and stare at her. the last time he did was were May was looking for her pokeball. She was bending down looking for it and Brock just stood behind her and watch her the all time. Brock is a real pervert!!..

He's stared at her a few times but not actually acted like he does around Nurse Joy/Officer Jenny.

That is more plot than we've ever seen from the writers so I don't actually expect it to happen.
 
Also if you notice, many battle fronter episodes Brock and May have been will acting very friendly wich each other. On the ship's they stand next or sit next to each other talking. Almost has if the wirter's are trying to start a new ship between them. A very sublty ship...In that one scean Brock is staring at May and she look's like she is posing for him. Whill Ash is in his boxers under the waterfall .. Thow I could be worng about this new ship, but it's there if you want to look close anothe...
