Will we be seeing the new GS girl in the anime?

Oh boy. Looks like Marina isn't in the GS remakes, and is instead replaced with another new girl.

If the name of the anime changes from "Diamond and Pearl" to a name for the GS remakes, is it a possibility that we might see Dawn replaced with her?

By the time Sinnoh ends it seems like it will have gone on for as long as AG as a whole, essentially giving Dawn as many episodes as May got.

Is it possible that the "filler arc" will be treated with a new title and a new female protagonist, or will this girl go the way of LG girl and be ignored?

This new girl could just be a rival for the new region (for Dawn). Unlike Leaf, this new girl looks more like a contest battler, rather than a "gym" battler so I doubt she'll be a rival for Ash (in some fashion).

And even if Dawn will be on longer than May, this new Girl would get no screen time and show up the least between Misty, May, and Dawn. How long do you think the filler saga will go on for?

The next Nintendo handheld after the DSi isn't even announced yet, so I'd say the 5th gen is still a long ways off.

It's quite possible this character could get at least 2 years of screentime if she was a main character. The more I think of it, if these remakes really have been promoted a hell of a lot more than FR/LG were, its quite possible this girl will be in the anime in some form.

Seeing her with a Johto starter would also make a bit more sense than seeing Dawn get them, even if she's not a main character.

I'm starting to doubt if there's even going to be a new handheld for the 5th gen. They may as well make the 5th gen exclusively just for the DSi. And when and if there is a new handheld (within 4 years), they could just create an exclusive 5th gen hanheld core Pokemon game, maybe even putting the 3rd 5th gen game on it. Okay maybe not a new new gen on the DSi, but at least create a new game set in an exclusive region, and add 40 totally new Pokemon and make it similar to Coliseum or XD Gale of Darkness. Once HeartGold and SoulSilver are done (like Platinum and still nothing about a new handheld in about three years. Then what?

And approximately 104 episodes (2 years). Is still less than May, Dawn, or Misty ever got. We might as well just get used to it, as new gens are created the longer we have to wait for the next gen and the more episodes the new girl will get (than the previous girl).

There's a chance. (You won't know until it happens though.)

(Anyone else thought she kinda looks like a Female Mario? Look at her clothes.)

Well, this is out of the blue. They might bring her into the series as a new rival for Dawn or something or, even more likely, they just ignore her and move on.

No way we'll see her outside of a small cameo if that.

And Marina had no place in the remakes.

Either as a cameo appearance akin to Marina/Crystal OR joining as a possible protagonist.
Then again we haven't seen Leaf in the anime either.

Wtf. I don't like her design. Marina was better. :p

But, anyway. With Dawn's current place in the anime, I honestly don't think she's going to be leaving for this new girl, at least not anytime soon.

Oh wait is this thread asking If she will be in the Anime or replace Dawn?

If it's Replacing Dawn I'd say no.

If just in to appear in the Anime there's a Chance I guess as a Cameo or a special guest for 1 or 2 episodes, but I really don't think so.

As I said on GS page there goes all the chances of Marina appearing during the GF

And I'll repeat what I said there. Why? The anime never did anything with Leaf, so if the writers want to bring back a Top coordinator we already know why wouldn't they?

Most likely she'll be a reoccurring character. Less likely, she'll be a character of the day, or even less likely, a replacement of Dawn.

Makes me wonder if the anime writers knew Marina wouldn't come back when they gave her those cameos.

Who said Marina would not appear again? There is still a possibility for that. But in all honesty, I don't see her nor the new girl having a major role.

I meant in the game, not the anime. I know Marina can still appear in the anime, but I wonder if they gave her those cameos because they knew she wasn't going to be playable in the games anymore.

But I'd hate to see the GS girl become yet another female coordinator, regardless if she has just a small role.

I doubt we'll see her in the anime besides the typical Pokemon World movie intro cameo.

As much as I'd like Hikari to be replaced as soon as possible what with Gen 5 being not particularly impending and all, I doubt it very much. It'd be nice to see this one make a cameo at least, unlike Leaf.
