I think we have to see that. In each league he was closer and closer to his goal. I think we might see it in Sinnoh or not...

Well giving how strong Cynthia is, I dunno if he would win, maybe not the first time he challaned the E4 anway, but since Ash has not beat the e$ of any region yet, hope this time he does and wins.

Probably not, unless there's another spin-off like the Orange Islands possibly. Also, if the show has a proper finale (which I doubt), he'll probably win something big.

I think if he does a elite 4 arc thing he will lose to that made up character that they always make him lose to unless he gets beaten by paul or even jun

If he will lose to Jun it will be his most shame lose at all. Losing to a beginnig trainer like Jun in major league.. I dont know. It will be shame. If he lose to Jun he can stop his goal to become Pokemion Master. Because after participating in major leagues and after winning Battle Frontier. IF HE LOSE TO JUN. HE CAN STOP TO RETAIN HIS GOAL!!!

If he doesn't win the Sinnoh league then I give up. I'm not waiting another 5 years for the 5th gen league. If all this Elite 4 foreshadowing is for nothing then the writers have officially lost it.

It's sad, but it looks like the people who wanted Pokemon to go on for 20 years will get their wish. The rest of us will hang our heads in shame.

Well, I did like when he won in the Orange Islands. However, I do think he deserves a win in at least one major league. Maybe he'll eventually become one of the Elite Four himself?

Not until the show is over.

And chill, Scott. I know the show is going downhill, you're right, but you're not the target audience.

I just want the show to have a proper conclusion so it feels like the story that started in Kanto will have an ending someday.

The show now has nearly 600 episodes, and by the time this gen ends it'll have somewhere around 650 episodes and 13 movies.

If it really does go on in the 5th gen, the show will come close to 700-800 episodes.

The show needs closure. You do not write a 12+ year continuity and not give it a proper ending.

He'll probaly be so close and then lose to a new friend and opponent he sees in the tournament just like in Hoenn when he lost to the kid with the Meowth

Nobody said that would not have a proper ending, it probably won't be seen for a long time to come, but I probably will happen someday.

I thought Ash was going to challange the E4, not other trainers? He most likley will beat all the Gyms and will he vae to cross the water area to get to the Pokemon League and Victory Road? So I wonder if he'll take a boat or get a pokemon like lapras again to take them accross?

This isn't Shakespeare, this isn't Avatar, this isn't Back to the Future. It's a 22 minute toy/game commercial from Japan. The only difference between it and other 22 minute toy/game commercials from Japan like Beyblade and Bakugan is that its been popular enough to still be mainstream in America for over a decade. It'll get that ending, but only when a generation of kids don't feel like watching a 22 minute toy/game commercials from Japan anymore.

As for the topic, he'll win a league...maybe Sinnoh, but this it won't be the end of Ash's journey.

They can do that with the 5th gen protagonists. There's no reason why Ash's story has to be dragged out for 20 years.

Continuity is getting skewed as it is, and Ash's older Pokemon are being forgotten.

And because the toy it's advertising involves an actual plot, however thin, making it at least one step above "hip youngsters being cool with magical robot toys" when it comes to making a TV show last longer than a year.

What really disappointes me is that they showing Ash as a rookie trainer each time while he starting the new journey/ The showing piplup has almost equal power with Pikachu. Remeber episode with cathing Buizel. Pikachu (he was ELECTRIC TYPE) coudn't do that and this brat Piplup did it. Oh I just hate it. After showing amazing Ash's battles in Battle Frontier they showed him... I don't know as a statring trainer. Just ridiculous
