I just got the Windows 7 Beta and it runs faster than Vista did anyway, now my soundcard did not work as it was a creative X-fi, but I got the unofficial driver pack for it, and now I opnly have 2.1 speaker playing not the 5.1 surround sound that I have, but for now thats fine until fix for that is out.

Now I could not seem to find this anywhere, but I schelduled windows Vistas disk defragmenter to start at a certian date time and day, but when I upgraded to windows 7, it says I had to remove the old setting so first before I could run the defragmenter, it says to press ok or something like that to remove old settings that were stored on windows vista defragmenter, so I did, nothing happened. Did this more than once, nothing happens. Anyone have ideas on how to remove the old settings?

Apart from that, I like windows 7 a whole lot and upgraded my pc as I use my laptop far more than it and did not want to mess up the computer I use most and if I screwed my desktop PC, it would not be too hard to fix. Anyone else get the beta?
 
I'm just disappointed that Microsoft is implementing some draconian rights management, at least from what I've heard. The free upgrade offer for Vista users is nice though and my family will probably be taking advantage of it at some point. Microsoft definitely will have a large market share for some time to come, and it's good to see that they're making some nice improvements.
 
Wondows 7 runs far faster than Vista, but it was not meant to come out until 2010-11 but I guess the way people feek about Vista made Microsoft finosh 7 earlier. But the actual version of windows 7 "Vienna" is not said to be released to either 2010 or 2011, so we will have to wait.

And I fixed my problem I had earlier. DOn't install a Beta OS over an existing OS your using, just dual boot. Simpilar or a clean install.
 
I like windows 7 So far, as it is faster than vista and crashes less. Though, i have had odd glitches with it.
 
I have been using it since it came out. Many little bugs, but overall its awesome.
 
I have my own name for Vista that i hate it so much. It practicly copied Apple. Want to hear the new name? PISSTA.
