Hello everybody!

Congratulations to all the worthy winners! Judging was a hoot this time around, a lot of diverse and different stories to read, so it was really a lot of fun!

Thanks to all the judges for doing an incredible job, especially those who did extra work this time picking up where others had failed. Please wait two weeks before harassing these brilliant people for feedback, as they are busy and will need time to write up what they want to say. The judges of each category are listed above. All character judging was done by the judges from the category your story was entered in. If your character was judged without its story, then harass these people:
Kelli: Judged by Soulmaster and Beth Pavell
Kephi: Beth Pavell and Rediamond
Geoffry: Flaze and Life

I don't think I have anything else to say. Banners will posted when they are completed: the amazing @Arkadelphiak is making them this time. They look amazing so far (hint: Gen III and Gen VI ;) ) and I cannot wait to post them up for everyone! And I will see you all again in June to do this all over again :)

Congrats to all of the winners! I always have a fun time reading the new stories from year to year, and this one was no exception. Even the ones that I have read befre I enjoy rereading because I'm bad and don't keep up. But regardless, Congratulations!

Yaaaaay for winners!! Everything was very well deserved, if you ask me. There are truly so many great pieces of work in the Fairground that it was hard choosing one person for each category ((particular for the journey category :p)), but somehow we managed.

As this was my first time judging, I must say that it was a lot of fun getting to experience the process from the other side. Hopefully I can refine my skills even further so that when the next award period comes, my judging skills will have increased ten fold~ Not to mention my writing skills also. :p

Once again, another huge congratulations to the winners!!

I did this last year, I'm going to do it again this year:

Bear in mind, people, that I've got one hell of a list of reviews to get through (Thirteen assorted stories and characters), so it will take me a while to get through them all!

So, Best Newcomer huh? That's... Uh, I wasn't really expecting to win any awards considering I don't contribute much to the community and the fact that I've been really lazy with doing actual writing, but I guess what little I posted was good enough. So, thanks for everybody who voted on me.

Oh, and of course, congratulations to the other winners! I still need to read your stories =P

Heya, thanks for the Best Newcomer award. :D I've been at the fanfic game for a while, but I took last year as an opportunity to make a fresh start of sorts, and things like this just give me all the more confidence in that decision. Plus I'm only just now starting to really check out the community in earnest. Gotta say, I like what I see so far.

Congrats to all y'all, and if I haven't read your fic yet: oh, just you wait... :D

Hey, cool. That thing that I wrote in an afternoon once beat out people who had spent years on their projects. I am now one step closer to being a horrible person.

Congrats to all the other winners!

It's alright Rediamond, we already think your terrible :p

Congrats again to all the winners, and thank you to the judges who were seemingly kind enough about my work for it to win prizes. I am stunned but overjoyed that Dawn of Darkness claimed the top prize, just as I never really thought people would care about that story much (and indeed there was very little attention for it until the last six months). It has been an amazing response and this just tops it all of. Now we only need to get more people writing Expansion-based stories :)

You know, this is the third awards in a row where @Beth Pavell and I have tied with something 8ES and The Long Walk related. We really do need to have a showdown at some point :p

Be careful what you wish for . . . and the banners are done!

Congratulations to all of you winners. :) They were all very well deserved, from what I've seen. As always, keep writing!~

The most difficult, frustrating and tiresome part of the Awards is now complete.... the posting of the banners. (My god that is an insanely hard task). Thanks to Arkadelphiak for making them for us, they look incredible!

...Wait, how come Beth Pavell got to judge a category that he had a nomination in? It says he judged my character, but his character ended up winning the category my character was nominated for. I'm confused here, this doesn't seem fair.

Anyway, congrats to the winners though.

It's kind of an accepted reality that people will be judging their character's opponents, because character judging is tied to story judging. It would be more than a bit difficult to schedule someone to judge in a category they aren't competing in and then make sure they aren't judging any characters competing against there's, especially if you're Ace so you would need to pick between Alternate and non-Pokemon and then pick two stories that have no eligible characters whatsoever. If you have multiple judges in a category with character restrictions... it would be impossible to make things work. As such I think we just go in with the admission that people will be judging against their characters and hope that due to the sheer size of the pool and the integrity of the judges we get reasonably neutral results. If we're willing to accept that, having people fill in to judge characters whose stories didn't move on (one of the hardest things to get someone to judge) is a reasonable progression.

But if I'm wrong, someone with actual knowledge and authority can step in and say otherwise.
