Witch Johto starter will Dawn/Hikari catch

We all know after that leaked corocoro scan they're most likley going to make a gs remake so that means Dawn will catch at least one Johto starter like how May got a Bulbasaur and Squirtle will it be Chicorita, the over used girly starter, cyndaquil the under used starter and totodile another water pokemon
for her.
 
I think she's bound for a Chickorita, always have. She needs some green on her team anyway, and it seems better for contests.
 
I'm pretty sure Ash would just bring his back if they ever decide to feature them. But that never stopped May with Bulbasaur, so I don't know.
 
I hope she doesn't get one, but if they do this again, its either Chikorita/Cyndaquil since she has Piplup.

The funny thing is if she does get one, it'll wind up being handled better than Ash's own Johto starters were.

When May got her Kanto starters we still saw Ash's, but since the Johto starters haven't been used since 2002, they would get their best showcasing in years.
 
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that she'll catch like a quilava. I really don't want to see another Chicorita, that was the johto starter of Ash's which we probably saw the most of. Quilava on the other hand i feel had had close to zero screen time. Maybe if we end up seeing Marina in the Grand Festival we'll see a Feraligatr vs. Typhlosion battle. Would be more fun than baby starters.
 
Cyndaquil, for the love of pete. Ash's sucked, and really did a disservice to the entire line. Oh look, how cute, it's asleep and weak AGAIN.

Hopefully not Chikorita, it's been the most exposed of all the Johto starters. Two recurring characters had one (Jackson and Casey) and it was the most featured out of all of Ash's Johto Pokemon. And Totodile would conflict with Piplup, so probably Cyndaquil.

Bulbasaur was overexposed to hell with Ash, (he kept it all the way through the 6th Gym in Johto), and even so May got one.

Although I suppose with her they didn't have much of a choice in the matter, they couldn't take away spotlight from her Combusken so Charmander was obviously out, and Squirtle came later anyway.

As we know with Dawn Totodile is definitely out, but it wouldn't surprise me if she gets the Chikorita because its "cute and girly" and they love that stereotype for contests, at least with her (bar Mamoswine)
 
I think Cyndaquil would be the best choice for her, though I wouldn't be surprised if they gave her Chikorita. -_-
 
I think she's more likely to end up with a Chikorita.... it'll have to be a choice of which pokemon that'll be very usefull in contest, mostly for unexpected double appeals lol
 
Since Haruka got two Kanto starters I don't see why Hikari can't get two Jouto starters.
 
Whichever starter she gets, I hope it replaces Ambipom (she's not cute or strong, plus it lost nearly all of her personality after evolution)

It should be shiny too. I'm jus' sayin, Tha's all...
 
Shiny? Well it would be cool, but I won't be expecting anything like that...


If Dawn gets a Johto starter (I have no idea why people are so 100% certain that she will) I'd guess I'll go with the others and say either Chikorita or Cyndaquil I don't see Totodile too cutesy or girly, but of course, you never know. I guess that would be her sixth Pokémon and she won't be getting any more than that, maybe just one (May has seven Pokémon, if I remember it right).

But if I had to pick one to give to Dawn, I'd go with Cyndaquil. We've already seen a female trainer with a Chikorita (Casey) and another with a Totodile (Marina). Plus, Chikorita got the best treatment out of the Johto starters because multiple people had one and Ash's got the most spotlight out of his trio of Johto starters. And Dawn getting a Totodile is out because of Piplup.

So Cyndaquil could work with the rest of Dawn's cutesy contest team while showcasing a lesser-seen starter that doesn't conflict types with another Pokemon on her team.
 
I don't get how you guys can automatically assume that Dawn will get a Johto starter now, just because we've seen scans of them from a movie? GSDS speculation, okay, it's understandable, but talking about what starter Dawn will get? I know it's not out of the question, as it may happen eventually, but why bring it up now? Isn't it a little early to guess? At any rate it would be either Chikorita or Cyndaquil (though the latter is favored).
 
idk bout ambipom being totally useless....but i think dawn needs a fire type so cyndaquil is the best option...anyway i think it will evovle into quilava like 30 episodes after she gets it neway
