The rules are simple enough:
1. The word must be attested in an English text somewhere notable. For the purposes of this game, articles in the English Wikipedia, or definitions in the English Wiktionary, Dictionary.com, Answers.com, Cambridge Dictionaries are accepted, and others will be examined as they are presented.
1a. Proper nouns will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
2. The first n letters of the word must be the same as the last n letters of the previous word, without permutation or other change, where n is any integer between one and one less than the length of the previous word, inclusive. The word itself must have at least n + 1 letters. (i.e. the chain work > worker is not permissible, nor is the chain call > all; but decommission > missionary is.)
4. No words are to be repeated, in any variant. (i.e. American, British and (in)famous/common typos.)
So let's see how fast we can exhaust our vocabularies: lexicon.
