Er not a hundred percent if this is already around. Tried to use search but it didn't work well on a phone >.<

Well anyways, which Anime Region had the worst storyline to you guys? I am kinda curious.

Me it's Sinnoh, sorry I can't stand Dawn. When it first came out, I thought it would be so cool, etc etc. Sadly the storyline seemed repetitive and I didn't like some—actually MOST if not ALL characters that were added. Dawn seemed to annoy me and Paul was- how to put this nicely, really a huge showoff. Also like to be angry alot, least it seemed from the few first episodes I had watched. I also didn't enjoy the starters though some Pokemon I liked were Piplup and Buneary. It is the same with gathering Gym bagdes etc but to add the Pokemon 'beauty' contest for Dawn was I think a way to drown out a series. Victory Road and such was cool I was actually stoaked but knew Ash will lose. Sadly he lost to (I may gotten this messed with another series) a team of Legendaries.

I don't know if it sounds biased but I actually quit Pokemon for a while since Diamond/Pearl's anime made me quite unamused. If it gets better to you guys I'll try and watch again but still,

Okay your turn! Your least favorite Pokemon Anime Region Storyline!

Georgia and Burgundy's "character arcs" barely fit that term with how their last appearance was after the Junior Cup and then BAM gone. I mean, why not have them get closure during the filler arc. You know, Decalore Islands where you could do anything you want. Including tie up loose ends.

For me its the Johto badge quest, mainly due to the overwhelming amount of fillers which made most of the key points of the storyline like gym battles and legendary encounters few and far between :/

So many examples I can list, for instance, the GS Ball arc was never explored, and then completely abandoned because they wanted to use Celebi in the movie. Another good example is how Team Magma and Aqua were handled, basically having them rarely appear, and when they DID appear, and when they appeared together, all they did was bicker, with Ash and friends being caught in the middle. There are too many others I can list.

Isshu League
Junior Cup
Dregolore Islands
Groudon vs. Kyogre 2 parter
75% of Jotho
Most of the Awful Islands
Battle Frontier

Unova League
Most of the Decalore Islands
Sinnoh Grand Festival
Some of Johto
Junior Cup
Many others

The Battle Frontier was just pitiful. They turned a cool concept from the games into one of the most baffling seasons of the show. I can't understand why Ash would continually use Pikachu when he had other much better Pokemon. He used Pikachu against freakin Regice. I just got into Sinnoh but it's definitely already my favorite. I'm not the biggest of the actual games (I recently got Platinum and can't say it's particularly great). I know the Orange Island stuff isn't popular but I enjoyed it a lot as a kid and I even liked Tracey. He was no Brock but he was an interesting character in his own right.

Johto, it's so bad I can't even remember most of it. And being like 8 when I watched it doesn't have anything to do with it, given that I remember most of Kanto and Orange Islands, and those weren't even that good either.

Some Side Tounaments like Marine Cup Tournament and Schalchop Tournament
Some of the Adventures in Battle Frontier
Some Contests

The Don Battle Tournaments along with the Pokemon World Tournament were just boring to watch. The Ash-Trip rivalry was also horrible.

GS Ball storyline. It was promising at first but the way they dumped it just so they could use Celebi for movie 4 just ruined it for me.

Everything in Unova. It's hard to explain, but it wasn't entertaining at all and seemed like a chore to keep up with instead of something exciting. I stopped watching the anime during Best Wishes.

For me it was the Decolore Islands. I'm having high hopes for X and Y though.

Best Wishes had the worst storyline because it felt like a toned-down version of Kanto and DP, and it hardly even followed the game's plot. Plus, theres the Decolora arc which literally had no storyline at all. (Speaking from my own personal opinion).

While not the worst and not without it's good moments, I felt that Episode N was a watered-down version of the BW1 and 2 storyline. It give the impression that the writers just wanted to take the easy way out rather than make a compelling story where N gets similar development like in the games. That'd make for more interesting interactions between him and Ash and maybe even a better rivalry rather than with Trip. The boy who despises humans "using" Pokemon and the boy who love how humans and Pokemon get along. If they just stopped to think about how to make a good story out of it, I'm sure they could've done it but as it is, it feels like they knew what they could do but didn't do it. As an aspiring writer, this really frustrates me.

I don't like to make the "its a kids show" argument because, well, kids shows like Avatar/Korra have far better writing and creativity with storytelling.
