What's the worst cartoon you've ever seen? (American or otherwise?)

My vote has to go with Winx Club. Don't ask what I'm doing watching Winx Club, it wasn't on purpose- I was forced, at a sleepover with a friend of mine who happens to be in seventh grade. Really, it's scary, painful stuff and the insidious theme song gets stuck in your head for HOURS... (twitches) (panics) Oh dear... getting flashbacks.

Well, I would have to give this award to an american animated film from the 1970's called "Dirty Duck." Only watch this film if you are 18 and up though, it is adult... and some of the shittiest animation I have seen.

Gargoyles. x___x It's so... I don't know how to explain it, but I don't like that show at all.

Tom and Jerry without a doubt

When I was a kid I saw one episode where Jerry KILLED TOM AND TOM WENT TO HELL. I had nightmares for weeks.

Oh, when he guy said worst cartoon, he meant one that we actually *hate!* Well, nevermind my first choice... even though this might just be the worst cartoon I have ever seen, I will now pass my trophy on to:

Any american cartoon that tries to look like a japanese cartoon and fails miserably!

I have seen toys and such for quite a few american shows that look like the animators are trying SO hard to imitate a style that apparently they have no clue how to imitate. I could just go on all day.... but this is one of the millions of reasons why I am so unhappy with the current american animation scene.

I really dislike 'Ed, Edd, and Eddy.' I couldn't get into 'Paranoia,' which was on Adult Swim some time ago.

Like Winx Club, you mean.

(has unbridled hatred for that show)

Anything made by Hanna Barbera in the 60s and 70s besides The Flintstones, The Jetsons, and Scooby-Doo. If you can watch Boomerang, you know what I mean.

Probably: The Boom Crew(It's only lasted 2 episodes)

Mucha Lucha (It's really hard to explain how stupid it is)

I know what you mean. I watched them during the 70s and have tried to repress the memories ever since.

I have seen quite a few of these hanna barbera 70's toons, and I must say that I think they were all on drugs by then.

I have a theory that everyone who attended Woodstock in 1969 and dropped a copious amount of acid later had jobs in the animation field and were directly responsible for all the Saturday morning cartoons from 1970-1979.

Although Hanna-Barbera's cartoons weren't nearly as wonky as Sid and Marty Krofft's live action shows (Wonderbug; Electra Woman and Dyna Girl; H.R. Pufnstuf).

I love the parody that Mr. Show did of the Krofft's shows. "The Altered States of Drugachusetts." And I must say that Hanna Barbera were tame compared to the drug saturated movies from that guy who did the Fritz the Cat movies and Heavy Traffic. I truely love 70's american adult cartoons though.

Spongebob Square Pants.. that disturbs me greatly, and the fact that it's supposed to be a kid show disturbs me more.

The Flintstone, The Jetsons etc. etc. and especially Winx Club.

Seriously, holy crap!

How did ML last 3 seasons again?

...makes sense that crap like that can last longer than it should, but then WB up and cancels Pokemon, I suppose.

And some of the ABC cartoons. Teamo Supremo comes to mind (don't ask, I used to watch Recess religiously. Because it's funny.) Not to mention, every other dumb cartoon WB has come up with.

And I'll second Ed, Edd, and Eddy. But I think Winx Club is the one crap show to rule them all... whatever they smoke over at 4Kids, they were overdosing it when they came up with THAT turd. The fact that people buy the DVDs is even more profoundly disturbing.

I think it's officially established I hate Winx now. But hate is, sadly, not strong enough a word.

The ones you guys are mentioning aren't that bad IMO, though I will have to agree about Ed Edd n' Eddy. Spongebob's popularity also boggles me.

Personally I don't mind pseudo-anime as long as you treat it as its own show and don't try to compare it to anime. I want to see W.I.T.C.H. for example (that's what it's called, right?)

I also like crack/randomness more than some.

I should also mention that I detest 'Rugrats: All Grown Up.' What was the point of that?
