In every form of fictional (and perhaps non-fictional) media, there is always some character - whether main, rival, or friend - that really grinds your gears. I'm sure you've all seen that, right?

Well then, list them here for us to mock!

right now...

Adray Lasbard -- Star Ocean 3
he's okay, I don't necessarily dislike him, as he is the only other worthwhile symbologist in the game (Sophia is the other, Nel is more of a fighter) but he's old. lol I have this thing against old people in videogames, which is why I play so few western RPGs.

Sakaki -- .hack//G.U.
I liked Atoli. so I don't like what Sakaki did to her. also, he's just a huge jerk, and I don't like jerks.

Waka -- Okami
he's okay as well, but he just doesn't look good without those wings on his head, and that part of the end with him in it was just... lame. lol

I'll edit if I think of more...

I rarely ever hate a fictional character.. I have a friend who hates every other (and dislikes even some of my favorites but that's fine XD I'm not pushing my interests on others..) but I can think of one at the top of my head...despite the fact that I haven't played the game she's in...
And that character is:

Xion.jpg

Xion... of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days.
I've read quite a few tidbits of information about her and so far nearly everything I've heard just bugs me...
I know its a bit unfair of me, since I haven't actually played her game... but I gotta give her credit for being the first character I disliked before I got to know her properly:lol:

Others...

Jessie, James and Meowth from...if you don't know get the heck of this forum.
They're lousy villains, I don't GET their obsession with Pikachu, its not that darn special, and their plans are ridiculous and quite often doomed from the start. Of course Ash isn't much better for falling for all of their tricks.

Xion from Kingdom Hearts is pretty dumb I agree.
Fontaine from Bioshock: I don't hate him, but as a villain he pissed me the fuck off at the climax with his reveal.
Luigi as a fighter in Smash Bros....annoying!

Brutes from halo, unlike elites, they are like RAWR and try to run at you.

SLIPPY TOAD
Jar Jar Binks
Orko
Robin

Those are the only ones I can think about now.

Off the top of my head (I know there are others, but these are the ones I can think of right now):

Maryanne Forester from True Blood: She was a cartoonishly evil villainess. Michelle Forbes also did a poor job in playing her, since all of the emotions she conveyed appeared forced and unnatural.

Tara Thornton from True Blood: While I feel sorry for Tara because she was continually abused by her mother throughout her childhood, she still has an obnoxious personality.

Eggs Benedict from True Blood: He did not have any character.

Lorena from True Blood: I find her character boring. She is a simple one-dimensional villainess hell bent on possessing a man who she is obsessed with (Bill). However, I will admit that she is vital to the story, since Bill would have never become a vampire if he had never encountered her during the Civil War, not to mention her influence on him is a major source of his internal conflict.

Asch the Bloody from Tales of the Abyss: Like Luke, Asch had an inferiority complex. However, instead of becoming depressed over his insecurities like Luke did over his, he continually lashed out at people in a rude and violent manner. Whenever he berated others (especially Luke), he also did not make any sense. This made him look like nothing more than an irrational lunatic.

Shirley Fennes from Tales of Legendia: She is a selfish, inconsiderate girl who is not above committing mass genocide in order to possess Senel, yet she is still treated as though she is an innocent angel over the course of the game.

Albert Wesker from Resident Evil: I cannot fathom why people love this guy. He was a one-dimensional villain without any true depth and personality. Overall, I am glad that Capcom finally killed him in RE5.

Chris Redfield from Resident Evil: He is a standard fare video game hero who does not have any real character.

Ranma Saotome from Ranma 1/2: He is an insensitive, arrogant jerk who treats the people around him like garbage.

Akane Tendou from Ranma 1/2: I do not understand why people view Akane as being a strong feminist character. If anything, she goes against the principles of feminism. She longs to be a delicate Japanese house wife in order to meet societal standards and win the heart of a jack-ass who all feminists would hate. She is also unintelligent to the point that she gets jealous when girls who Ranma is uninterested in fawn over him (seriously, Shampoo, Ukyo, and Kodachi all kill his libido) and cannot figure out Ryoga and P-Chan are one of the same.

Thirteen AKA Remy Hadley from House M.D.: I find her cold, stoic personality unappealing, not to mention I hate how she frequently hogged screen-time away from the show's other characters throughout season five.

Alyson Cameron from House M.D.: Her better-than-thou attitude aggravates me.
