What happened to Casey (Abra) and Blacky (Umbreon)? For the record, a male trainer saying "I choose you, Casey!" would indeed sound very wrong.
nothing's cute with Pippi
P.s. nice avatar, region master!
also metamon for ditto.
I don't think they were intended to be "lame," but instead be :ksmile: kawaii.
I always thought Gardevoir's Japanese name was just stupid. Sirknight? Really? What part of this Pokemon looks like a knight? Or even a sir, for that matter.
"Will you excuse me, I have to go Pippi."
And people most likely pronounce these names differently.
As you made the "i's" sound like "e's."
Fushigibana (Venusaur) reminds me of Dolce and Gabbana which sounds like they are going to use the pokemon to make a purse, which would be one of the worst situations.
Adding to Mijumaru's list, how about Booster (Flareon)?
And then there's Freezer, Thunder, and Fire (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres).
And how about how close some of them are:
Ghos (Gastly) and Ghost (Haunter); Thunder (Zapdos) and Thunders (Jolteon)?:XD2:
Boy, Dogasu would sure hate this thread.hdear:

Er...Seeing as these are the Japanese names we're talking about, that's exactly how they're supposed to be pronounced.

No there's actually an animal called Dugong.Same goes for "Jugon", which is no better off than Dewgong (though at least that's probably making a pun on "dew").
