Sister thread to Worst English Song. We all know the Japanese songs can be just as rotten as anything the dubbers can churn out. So what songs do you reserve your deepest loathing for?

If you need a reminder, here's a list of a great deal of them, but not all of them have translations.

I really hated Aratanaru Chikai, mostly because the singer has an incredibly annoying voice. "Pokemon MAAAAS~TAAAAAAA" and it sounds like bleating.

And, no matter what you thought of it when it first aired, if you didn't hate Glory Day by the end of its run, you're made of sterner stuff than I.

Lucky Lucky is, when you get right down to it, a horrible song. Wildly out of character for James, it serves only to make gratutious puns, most of them in Engrish.

And say what you will about Maddie Blaustein (or any other Meowth dubber), any time Meowth sings in Japanese, I feel a rash forming.

"Aa Marumain", if that counts as a song. Else, I'd go with "Kureyon de Pokemon", the song just doesn't go with the kawaii cover-art.

Next to Polka O Dolka, which I said in sister thread, I also don't like Pokémon Smphonic Medley, Takeshi no Paradise, Poketaari Monsutaari and for some unknown reason I also don't like any version of Kimi no Soba de.

This is first time I ever heard about this song. Were it in anime, or only on some CD? And on which CD?

I don't really uderstand this hate for Inuko Inuyama. I wish any dub Meowth were at least close to her. And her singing is really cute. I really love Nyaasu no uta and Nyaasu no Party  And to clear things out, I don't Polka O Dolka for music, not for Inuko Inuyama's performance.

The only song I really loathe is Pokémon Symphonic Medley. It's just a really terrible mishmash of music that never really felt like an opening theme to me.

Any other songs that I don't care for aren't because of the songs themselves, but because they've been used to death. I actually really like Ready Go!, for example, when it's not being shoved down our throat every episode.

"We all know the Japanese songs can be just as rotten as anything the dubbers can churn out." Eh...I very much disagree. Very few of the English songs actually sound like songs that would fit in with Pocket Monsters since the musical styles are so completely different.

I love the actual Symphonic Medley, the TV one. I think it's one of the best opening songs (though I'd say OK! is definitely my top favourite). However, the album "extended" version is awful. The songs just don't go with it at all and it drags and drones on almost monotonously for most of it.

I wish I could say I disliked more of the Japanese songs, but the truth of the matter is that even though I've disliked some to begin with, they've wound up growing on me in repeated listening to them. Pretty much the same as some of the Dub ones. I used to LOATHE Unbeatable, but I have to say I quite like it now.

Nothing really sticks out to begin with. I know, I know, yell at me for being some kinda jerk, but I really can't. Atleast from the Anime songs.

Lucky Lucky was only on a CD...but...um...I don't see the big deal with it being out of character for James...since, y'know, Kojiro sings it. Plus it's just a song. (responding to the quote in Peno's post mods, I have "her" on my ignore list)

I'm still relatively new to the Japanese songs, well I only know a few songs when I hear them, Spurt, Battle Frontier, Advanced Adventure, Hikari/Dawn/Jailbait's theme, Haruka's theme and Challenger. But I've hate Together. A small part is it's overuse, but nothing compares to those lyrics.

That blatant marketing part of the song is just terrible, even more terrible than Advanced Adventure. Advance Adventure didn't shove a Gameboy Advanced in my face. It's like they actually thought they were being clever. I mean I get it, Aqua Jet, Rock Climb, Secret Base, Defog, Last Resort. I mean I'll buy the damn game, just shut the hell up. I just hate having the fucking DS shoved down my throat. It doesn't help that it's a typical sugary J-Pop song either.

Ierukana.

Seriously, any song that begins with "How's your mouth rolling today?" cannot be a good thing. As someone on Kotaku once put it, "My mouth's rolling just fine."

Any Imakuni song, actually. Especially the one where his girlfriend breaks up with him or whatever (there's a woman's voice, then he's crying). Pokemon Sandwich, was it?

I can't say I hate any of the Japanese songs.

Some of them can get a bit old, but the only song that ever really irked me was "Fantasy in my Pocket".

Eh, I don't think there's a song that I think is the absolute worst, although like Duckgon Z, I still don't know that many. I would say Pokémon Symphonic Medley, but I think that's just because it's overused. Big Nyarth Day is painful on the ears, and Natsu deSUKA always makes me laugh...

Ippai Summer - It's completely off.
Minna de Arukou - maybe it's not a bad song, but way to cutesy for me. And the "Wan Tu Sree For" thing was annoying me.
Kazoe Uta - Just like Minna De Arukou, it wasn't bad but too cutesy. However, it didn't annoy me because it was an ending theme for... few episodes.
Challenger - without any doubt, the worst opening, it was too stiff.
Kimi no Soba De - The most ANNOYING song.
Together - Next to Challenger, the worst Opening. It's more overused than MPM ('cause MPM is legendary, while Together is not)!
Pokemon Hara Hara Relay - cutesy, off and hard to bear
Pocket ni Fantasy and Bouken no Hajimari da - The STINKING cutesy!
Lucky Lucky - Never heard it, but judging from the lyrics, it can't be a good song.

However, none of aforementioned songs annoyed me as much as "Pokemon Go" (or at least the part which was played as MoMP opening) or "DP Pseudo-Rap" (it's called Hiphopolo). In overall, Japanese songs are 10^10^10^∞^666 times better than Dub Songs.

Aside from Spurt, Challenger, Together and Kaze no Message, I hate all of them.
