The Oscars came and gone, but one thing is for sure, the winners live on with us...the same goes with video games! Here are the worst voice acting in video games history! If you know of other clips do share because these are hilarious!

This is the first one that comes to mind whenever I think of terrible VA work in gaming.

"Gee, it sure is boring around here..." And that, everyone, is why Link (and the rest of Hyrule) should never, ever be allowed to talk.

The only other one that I can really remember is Aerith from Kingdom Hearts II. That dull, lifeless voice really stood out in a game filled with a ton of good voice acting.

The entire game of Bound By Flame had absolutely atrocious voice acting.

I find the voice acting in most Japanese-translated games to be awful. Bravely Default was a wonderful game with magnificent dialogue, IF you turned off the voices.

No collection of bad voice acting can be complete without this. Game's still awesome though.

The new Codename S.T.E.A.M., judging by the demo, has some really horrid voice-acting and cheesy lines, but it's sort of charming to me. Who knows how annoying it'll be in the full game.

I think Nintendo's been hitting it out of the park though lately with their voiced games, Kid Icarus Uprising, Fire Emblem Awakening, and Wonderful 101 had very solid voice-casts of well-known actors that really brought the characters to life.

Mega Man 8 and Mega Man X4. Jiminy Christmas, just Mega Man 8 and Mega Man X4. While I hate to be an insufferable purist, these two are the games where I can say the Japanese versions are what people should play if they want good voice acting and good gameplay. The anime scenes are awesome and the gameplay is a lot of fun, but the English voice acting completely ruins them.

Though come to think of it, there was only one voice in the Japanese version of Mega Man 8 I couldn't stand. I hated Cut Man's voice so much, but fortunately I can just mute the volume for one section of the game. Haha.

I wonder if there are any Japanese games which contains horrid voice acting. Granted, it's hard to tell if you and I aren't familiar with them, but I feel that it's not necessarily all good voice acting there.

As to this topic, I think I'll go with Chaos Wars. I heard the voices are done by family members of the CEO of the company. Here's a sample:

Thanks for reading.

Quite probably there are, but Western snobbishness being as it is, you'd be hard pressed to find people willing to criticise Japanese voice acting in any media. Well, there are some I've seen, but they tend to criticise trends (Extra squeakiness and gaspiness in the girls of all ages, for example) rather than specifics

One of many amazingly voiced scenes in this game. (Unlike other cases though, I'd argue that the bad voice acting gives the game more charm. Doesn't stop said voice acting from being bad though. .w.)

The whole FF cast in the Kingdom Hearts series. Yuffie, Auron, and Zack are the exceptions, the rest sound horrible.

You beat me to it xD

Anyway yeah, RE1 has some hilariously bad acting

Here's another one I think is pretty bad. A combination of bad writing and bad voice acting that is somehow very enjoyable. I would so pay to hear Ian Mckellen or Michael Fassbender say these lines.

The entire cast of Final Fantasy 10 with the exception of Auron and Jecht (which are actually the only characters i like in this game).

They just sound horrible with Tidus's voice actor being the worst, his delivery is so bad and not mention the voice itself is pure ear rape.

AAH ha HA ha ha HA!

Of course, it makes sense that FFX had plenty of cringe-y voicing, it was the franchise's first game with voices at all. First tries aren't usually smooth... of course, that doesn't change the fact that it is pretty bad.

Suprised noone has done this yet. Ahem...

Everything in Kid Icarus: Uprising. Especially Viridi. No wonder I sold the game as soon as I finished the storyline.

That, and the game's controls took a major toll on my first 3DS. Circle pad's torn, the touch screen is barely recognizable, and the L button broke.
