I was thinking of writing a fanfiction called Pokemon Rebirth (suggestions for a new/longer title appreciated).
Seventy years after Ash's journey, a mysterious mist has spread across the world. It has wrapped itself around the regions, and no one can make it through. They are unable to reach each other; everyone is completely cut off from the other regions. Gray clouds have settled over the world, and a giant storm is brewing that could shake up the world forever...
Meanwhile, on the Amita Islands, a region composed of an island with twelve smaller outlying islands in a ring, a girl named Kestrel starts off on her journey. She ends up unraveling a mystery that has existed for eternities, and putting the fate of the world at risk. A mysterious power wants to destroy the world and create a new one, and it's most certainly not human.
