Would Pokemon OCG be better if ...

If it was placed in a sheshuia magazine, such as V-Jump? If Yugioh can thrive as a card game, even though the anime does not do as well, why does it have to be inverse for Pokemon? If Pokemon OCG was placed seperetly in V-Jump instead of Corocoro would it get more popular?

I assume so.

Doubtfully. The Yugioh anime SUCKS. It WAS terrific...

But... then they put it on motorcycles and... yeah. That pretty much tells it all right there.

The Yugioh card game is for older people, and older people are the people who generally play card games, for the sheer cost involved in them. Not everyone can win tournaments and get free cards, you know?

Pokemon TCG won't ever be as popular as Yugioh... sadly. It's more fun in my opinion. 10x better than Magic, too.
 
I disagree with you a ton on Yugioh, but this is the TCG forum. I do still disagree with you on what is more fun.

Look at it this way, what can a kid pick up and play easier? A game that the show basically tells you all about, or a game where the anime treats it a shit (no recognition)? I think the one with the anime that helps it out. And the one with a training video right on the card game website and have a whole strategy site. Really does Nintendo make it easy for kids to learn? Or is that why they are getting killed in hobby store sales and retail sales alike (kids go to retail stores).

And Yugioh might be played competetively by teens and adults, but locally kids play it more. And even at large events there are duels where only the young kids (under 13) play. To keep it fair.

I would also just like to point out that Yugioh 5Ds constantly gets better ratings in America that Pokemon DP. And the merchandise is there for Konami.

I was saying Pokemon is more fun IMO. I can see where you thought otherwise, though. Sorry about the misunderstanding. Also, I played Yugioh for a LONG time. Went to nats and everything. So I understand both of the worlds pretty well.

Pokemon is a better card game, end of discussion. Yugioh is just more popular.

And your argument about the anime helping the card game doesn't work... since not as many people watch Yugioh as Pokemon. :p

Mehhhhh. The card game lost its flare over the years. It used to be TREMENDOUSLY popular, then it stopped.


It's still the best in my eyes. <333

Yugioh TCG is at the most popular it has ever been. And many duelist know of the show, they sometimes watch an episode or two, they just do not commit to the anime.

I watch the Pokemon anime religiously.

I think I am misunderstanding you because your posting style makes it hard to understand what series you are talking about.
 
Is English your first language? Because I'm making it perfectly clear. o_o; I'll say I wasn't ENTIRELY clear in the first post (to most people on a Pokemon forum you'd think they'd understand, at least :p ) but the other one... o_o; That was perfectly clear that I was saying Pokemon was better.

I just bolded what is misunderstanding. What card game are you talking about? You said Yugioh was more popular.

Yes, I did, which should have led you to understand that I was talking about Pokemon losing it's flare and becoming less popular. o_o;

Seeing as Yugioh IS more popular and Pokemon DID lose a lot of interest over the years.

Which is what I was saying. And then I said "It's still the best in my eyes." Which should also make you think I was talking about Pokemon, since I was saying I loved it lol.

jst seying I like Yugioh more, does that make me a bad person considering I am on a PKM forum?
