This isn't the first time Primape has appeared in a later opening, but why do we think this keeps happening.

Ash owned it for 5 episodes, of which it only appeared in 2, the episode it was caught and the episode it was released (And yet no sign of Muk in this opening). Does Ash even remember Primape?

If Primape was to appear, could it go back with Ash? As previously stated, it spent 5 episodes with him, while its been with that other guy fo about 700 episodes.

We've seen Charizard, Squirtle and Gliscor return from training but not after such a long time and they all had great relationships with Ash. Lapras also returned for a one episode thing, if Primape returns I think it would be similur but it was shown at Oak's?

Let us disscuss the possibilaties here.

I don't think they will, Primeape was in the Spurt opening in Battle Frontier and nothing came from it.

But if it does, I imagine it would just be a quick phone call to Anthony like the way he called for Charizard/Squirtle.

I love the idea, but he'd better know some d**n good moves+Thrash if it happens.

I'd love it if Primeape is female!

If Primeape is still to associated with Ash's accessible Pokémon, PROVE IT.

I've noticed that a lot of Ash's Pokemon that got released were also promised that Ash would come back for them.

Examples- Primeape, Pigeot, Charizard. Can't remember any others off the top of my head, but haven't still not come back for them AND having gone BACKWARDS in age from 11 to 10 brings one phrase to mind-

Scumbag Ash.

Sure, he's been able to gain access to Charizard either via concidental appearance (movie 3) or via phone as mentioned above, but he never flew back over to Johto to pick him up and keep him on the team. He may not be Red, but one thing's for certain in my mind- Ash is nothing without his Charizard.

If he were able to regain his Primeape, that would be enough for me to give the anime another chance.

Yeah, and he never promised to come back for Primeape either. Ash said that in the dub, but only the narrator hinted at Ash ever going back after Primeape in the original version. And he did promise to come back after Pidgeot in the dub, but noone has yet verified what he actually said in the Japanese version, which is the only version we should be trusting.
