Would you call "Pokemon Trainer", from SSB Brawl, Red?

I've heard a few people say he is based on Red but that doesn't mean he's Red. In that series, they're all toys (or statues, in Melee). So, technically he isn't our Red but that doesn't make him not Red.
No one ever says Mario isn't Mario, or Pikachu isn't a random Pikachu.

Would you call PT "Red"?
 
Yeah, pretty much. They share the same design, just he's voice acted in Brawl when he recalls and releases another Pokémon, which is understandable since they've used more animé-related things (Pika, Piikaa!), and I doubt the Animé would incorperate a silent character...hell, he's probably the Fire of the Animé world...I'll stop thinking now.
 
Well, that is Red, after some multi-dimensional traveling, o'course.
 
He's not Red, he's the player character from pokémon. They just took Red because that's the most standard character (and probably because the Kanto starters are the battlers).
 
I call him Red. Same design, uses starter pokemon. I don't see a reason to assume he isn't Red.
 
I refer to him as Red and see them as the same character.
 
He's red before all his starters are evolved in Johto. Simple as that. :U
