Would you like male nurses/doctors in the anime more often?

I clearly remember there being an episode with a male doctor, but in almost all episodes, there had been only female nurses.

In contrast, although Officer Jennys are usually around, we get to see other male officers quite a lot.

Why not male nurses/doctors? It would bring a little more variety to the show, however trivial. Brock wouldn't have had to flirt everytime in the pokemon center, and thus keep his repetitive comedy a little less.

Stereotyping, perhaps.

But seriously, an episode about a Pokemon Center run by a dude sounds like an interesting idea.

It would be interesting. Yes there was an episode with a male doctor, although he was treated humans normally. That was an original series episode (EP047 - A Chansey Operation) and had Dr. Proctor in it who acted like Brock mostly around the women. That's the only time I know of that has a male doctor.

That would be interesting to see.
Although, I would want to see Brock. Since he decided to become a Pokemon Doctor.

Considering how all the Pokemon Centers are run by Nurse Joy Clones, and they all seem to do a pretty good job, it makes me wonder what the point would be in getting that M.D. in Poke-medicine.

What if there's more family members than there are Pokemon Centers... someone's gonna have to fill the surplus and seeing anyone running a PC other than a Nurse Joy (especially a man) would be interesting.

Though it's interesting to note that was a doctor for people, not Pokémon.

So at the end of the day all of the actual Pokédoctors are all female.

Personally, I'd rather see a city where the normal Jenny/Joy relationship is reversed-Jenny runs the Pokemon Center and Joy is the cop (it amazes me that in 15 years they've never used that as a plot device). If you're talking about human doctors/nurses, however, I could see them going with a male every now and again-since we've seen a Nurse Joy with kids, maybe her husband is a doctor/nurse who treats people.

As interesting as that sounds, not happeningl. They've been using Joys for 15 years and it's too damn late to even think about changing things up NOW.
