The reason why I'm doing this? Just to get some statsitics as well as research here as well in other forums. I am doing this with the sole intention of what the opinions of the fanbase are when it comes to this topic.

Some people say that the fanbase thinks she should officially return to the group while I hear from others who say they're okay with it and prefer her to come in a cameo every now and then. I'm wondering what are your thoughts about this. I personally am okay with the fact that she is gone. As long as she continues to have her cameos, I'm completely fine with it. I'm just wondering which side the fanbase is on when it comes to this topic.

I would highly appreciate it if people would vote on the poll for the sole reason of gathering statistics and conducting my research. Also, please feel free to state your opinion in a respectful and friendly manner. Thank you.
 
I love Kasumi dearly, but she needs to stay where she is. Not only does it accomplish her goal more, but her and Takeshi are truely unneeded to me. Satoshi isn't a kid anymore, he doesn't need coaches.

To see her disappear altogether though? Absolutely not! I mean sheesh...we have enough trouble with those empty promises Satoshi makes. I don't care who it is, if the writers let us see past characters from time to time, it makes me happy!
 
I'm pretty indifferent to be honest. It wouldn't matter to me one way or the other.

However, I WOULD like the writers to continue bringing in new female characters from the games. May and Dawn brought so much to the show in their respective sagas and I'd be happy to see what the 5th gen girl might bring.

Honestly. She's done her thing and she's actually much better off now as a recurring character. We don't need her to come back as a member of Ash's traveling crew.

Especially in its current form.
 
Yeah, I want Misty to come back. She was such an origional character. Just before she left, I was starting to understand the AshxMisty ship (the name escapes me). :( She was so much better than May and Dawn...

I'm kind of torn when it comes to this: I'd love to see her back on the main group, not only because she's my favorite character from the anime, but because it would be great if the relationship between her and Ash got resolved once and for all (not like this would really happen, but one can dream).

But also, I'm afraid of the writers screwing her up and not giving her proper development and screentime, pretty much what has happened with Brock, because he barely does anything: his pokemon are more interesting than him at this point, when it used to be the other way around. I'd hate to see her being just in the background, plus to be honest, she's found her place as a Gym Leader in Cerulean City. That's where she belongs now.

That said, I'd love her to come back for a few episodes like she did in Hoenn.
 
I always liked Kasumi, she's a great character and one of my favorite Poke girls. I stopped watching the anime about half-way through the Johto series, and I've only seen the first episode of the Diamond and Pearl series, so I don't have much to compare her to. I don't know much about Haruka, but I've heard mixed reviews on her. People either think she's the greatest character ever, or else they want to her to die a horrible and painful death. I would like to see Kasumi return to the series permanently though, since I think she's a good match for Satoshi. That's not to say I want Kasumi to replace Hikari as the female lead though, because I love Hikari, she's my current favorite character, but I'm more familiar with Kasumi. It would be nice to see Kasumi and Hikari traveling together with Satoshi though.
 
Hell yeah! She's made of pwnage. Actually, I would be ridiculously happy if we got two female characters into Ash's travelling group no matter who they were, but Misty's the obvious choice for one of them because she's a sidekick, not a heroine, so the writers wouldn't have to squeeze three major token-collecting quests into one saga. And Misty brought a kind of cynicism to the group dynamic that I think is necessary in a show like Pokemon. The main characters tend to be so goody-goody sickly sweet that it's nice to have a more vinegary character around to balance things out. Max kind of did this in AG, but not as well as Misty, IMO (Croagunk does it wonderfully in DP, though).
 
I'd love to see her return. Lately I've been growing a Kasumi obsession. And I just really miss her a lot. Her few cameos aren't enough for me anymore.

The thing the writers could do to make me the happiest would be to put both Kasumi & Haruka traveling with Satoshi. Oh man. That'd caused so much more arguments with the shippers, but just seeing my two favorite characters together would be freaking awesome! <3

But yes. Kasumi needs to return. We haven't seen her in like so long, and it's been way too long. And she is just too much of a great character to just forget like that. D:

The longer we go without seeing her or May again the better, Let Dawn have her rightful turn people.

Speaking of Kasumi, there's speculation that she will indeed return for at least one DP episode, according to a post on her Japanese voice actress's blog. I'm not sure what exactly she said, but it seems that it was strongly indicative of a Kasumi cameo in a future DP episode.
