Would you participate on a BMG Netbattle Server?

Should BMG have a netbattle server?

I would participate ONLY on a Bulbagarden server if I was given the option. Now, how active I would be on that server would be another matter. Since I tend to play in fits and starts.

It'd be the same for me. Like many people, I'm rather impetuous when it comes to Netbattle.

I would love to, but I have NetBattle and it doesn't work for me for some reason. However, I support the idea of having a BulbaGarden Server on NetBattle.

You know, the poll REALLY should reflect the title of the thread. I skipped down to the post and then scrolled up and voted NO (assuming that it was 'would you use it' and not 'should we have one'), when in fact I couldn't care less.

I didn't see the title of the poll until AFTER I voted.

RSbot > Netbattle, and besides, won't run on my computer since my comp's a Macintosh. But it would be a good idea.

I'd use it. I have too much free time these days, might as well find something to fill it up with ^_^

What exactly is RSBot? I've heard it's similar to Netbattle, but I haven't tried it out myself. Are there any notable differences between the programs? And if so, what might they be?

I think this is a good idea, even though I'd like to see something on mIRC :(. To answer your question, ShadyWolf, RSBot is a text based battle program, which means it has no pretty (or ugly, w/e you think it is :\) pictures. I personally think RSBot is better than NubBattle, but you may think otherwise. Also, the bot is dead for now, but word is that it should be back up by the end of the month. You never know though, the last time it died, it took quite a while ;-;. Anyway, I hope I answered your question ;).

^^ But knowing Misty, I'd say April..

Sure, we can't get our own RSBot, but there's not that many people on there when it's active, right?

If I could remember the team I had before I moved (new computer so my team's gone), I'd battle.

I'd most likely give it a try. I sure had fun on the old TPM battle thingie.

I've never tried this Netbattle before, but I'd like to; it would be much more fun to have our own player stats database and whatnot.

I would deffinitely

p.s I tried playing r/s bots and I really didnt like it the controls are confusing if your not used to using mirc, I found myself swithcing to pokemon I didnt want and using moves I didnt want to use and that was only when i typed in the command correctly

That doesnt make sense netbattle is more user friendly if I've never played the metagame before or am really new why would I even consider going through all that when netbattle has a point and click interface? I remember when netbattle first came out there were so many bugs it was almost impossible to play, now its just about perfect, back in the day the argument was "netbattle has to many bugs", then "only noobs use netbattle", and now the only argument r/s bots players use is "r/s bots has better players".

smilies..... :lx248: :lx032:
