Would you rather join the Society of Battle Connoisseurs, the Rust Syndicate or the Fist of Justice?

Which group would you prefer to join?

Ruling out the SBC immediately because I hate being around rich people. The Rust Syndicate are presented as a good group in game but would probably be the most problematic in real life... So I guess that just leaves the Fist of Justice as the only relatively 'normal' one. I could probably use the exercise anyway, even if I would hate every second of it haha
 
Probably the Fist of Justice.
Fighting was always my favorite type, so joining a group that's all about that type? Count me in. I'm not physically strong but I kiiiiiinda did karate back in the day so I guess that should count? I'm fond of Ivor's well meaning but kinda dumb muscle energy and I really like Gwynn's stoic and deadpan demeanor.

The Rust Syndicate is probably too sharp for my taste, although I am a fan of Corbeau. And the SBC is full of rich people that I do not fit in with plus I actually don't like Jacinthe that much.

is the rust syndicate actually problematic or is that just appearances? can't recall any outright terrible thing they've done. i suppose if you count them taking advantage of urbain/taunie's naivete and them signing a loan, though that's more on urbain/taunie than the rust syndicate. i'm not big on fighting types, so the fist of justice isn't really for me. i suppose the SBC, then?
 
rust syndicate is still a crime syndicate at the end of the day, even if they're a "the ends justify the means" kind of association. they're still taking advantage of people, they're still using coercion to get what they want. it just so happens that what they want is a greater good and so it still feels...weird. mind, i'm not approaching this from a "legality is morality" position. rust syndicate is functionally asking you "how far off the high road are you willing to go to make the world a better place?"

anyway my vote for the ticker board went to them because i can't not look at corbeau and philippe and say "would."

my more realistic answer would be the fist of justice. i just don't know if ivor would entertain the discourse around his goals from the inside.
 
Fist of Justice, because their beliefs are most closely aligned with mine. I'm vocally active in favor of wildlife coexistence and against using I-40 as a restriction to Mexican gray wolf (Canis lupus baileyi) dispersion. Also, I enjoy karate and I took lessons prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Yeah, none of these groups are that great, they're all legally/morally questionable factions that seem to do a mix of good and bad. The Fists of Justice train people in self-defense, but also want to get rid of Wild Zones and Ivor can't help but destroy public property. The Rust Syndicate uses their influence to help the city, but they're also a literal mafia group that traps people in sketchy loans. And the SBC is a wealthy organization that holds grand tournaments but Jacinthe seems to revel in humiliating punishments for the losers. None of these organizations are exactly great choices.

However if I had to pick one, I'd say the Rust Syndicate. I don't really like martial arts or the wealthy, and I've seen no real indication that the Rust Syndicate actually does anything bad after you're in. It's the one I'd hate the least, that's for sure.

Ivor is a too loud for me to hang out constantly with and while I like Gywnn, I think I rather not. SBC, while I love Lebanne, I can't stand Jacinthe (and consider I heavily dislike Diantha, it says a lot of her character when her pupil is even worse if this is the person she's okay with).

So Rust Syndicate for me, Corbeau seems cool to hang out around and Yakuza is a fun game series. Seriously, the shady business guy is the most trustworthy person in Lumoise. I wonder if they get up to any Yakuza game shenanigans. And hopefully I don't have to change my name to Grunt and get the awful haircut the guys have.
 
Definitely the Rust Syndicate.

As much as I like Jacinthe, the SBC seems like quite a toxic work environment, and I overall don't think I'd do well there.

The Fist of Justice is probably the most innocent group, and I do like Ivor, but I don't entirely agree with there goals. And I can't stand Gwynn, and being around people like her makes me feel unnerved, so that's an unfortunate no.

The Rust Syndicate, is admittedly being carried by me REALLY liking Corbeau, but I also don't think they did anything innately bad? Besides Taunie/Urbain's loan signing, but that's more on their naivety , due to it actually being a genuine contract, they don't seem to be the worst, and out of all the teams Corbeau, Phillipe, and even the Grunts, are the ones I had the most fun talking to, and all around felt the most down to earth.
