Would you want abilities like Receiver/Power of Alchemy(and others+moves) to work in single battles?

Should abilities and moves should work also in single battles and not only in double battles?

- it could take the ability after the fallen ally pokemon that was before it on the field.

-or take ability of a fallen oponent?

Yeah it would be better if abilities and moves like this had effects for every battle format. The way things are now some moves just end up useless on one end.
