Wouldn't it be cool if there was some form of character customization?

Like, you could choose eye color, hair color, and a few different pieces of clothing (hat, top, bottom) to make your character your own. That would be nice and not out of the question considering current technology.

Would you guys like this?

It would be awesome. Especially if they included some kind of clothing stores and stuff along the way. Your character could finally have some personality.

Not that sort of customizing. No way. I like pre-set characters.

I do however want to be able to change parts of your outfit and buy you stuff. Maybe cross-dress change your hair style or dye your hair too.

Added a poll.

They really can't do that much - at least need to make it better than PBR.

Kotone/Lyra's hat, for instance, is not really my style, but others seem to like it. Customization like this would give everyone a character they'd be content with - I'd just want the girl to have a basic baseball cap (full head covering!) with a ponytail. Nothing fancy.

I want my protagonist to, finally, HAVE BLONDE HAIR kthnx. *sighs* stupid recessive traits and Japan seemingly getting none of them.

Customization options would be pre-set. There'd be five hairstyles for guys and five for girls. Eye color would be four options (blue, brown, green, hazel) and so would hair color (brown, blonde, black, red). Nothing fancy.

Outfit customization would be great as long as it wasn't like PBR and only featured palette swaps... I'd want different hats, tops, and bottoms so we could mix and match.

If they did too much, it'd take up too much space on the DS card.

Good idea, but not very plausible, considering how many overworld sprites we'd need.

No. I meant you could change your characters outfit and hair any time in the game. I don't like that sort of customizing. Wouldn't you rather get a pre-set character like pretty much all other games?
I would like to change her look once I become a champion. I want to wear a champion cape like Wallace. Anything else would look odd on a Pokemon protagonist.

You have a point, but that's why it'd be so limited. Eye color isn't necessary on a sprite. It'd mostly be the hair and the hat.

They may not do this, but I hope that they do - I'd rather be able to mix and match as the game goes on (if I play as the girl). Though I'd probably keep the same hat regardless...

I'm hoping that the trainer store and customisation feature on Pokemon.com is a nod to this feature being in these games

Definately.

Even if they want to keep the same base character for the sake of having a character, at least let us change clothes.

Some? What about a lot.

I'd rather not have too much, since that would water down the rest of the game given how much space it would take up. A basic set of outfits (eight hats - two for guys, two for girls, four for either; several tops for each gender, etc.) would be nice and not demanding.

Let's hope so. I'd want something a bit different, though - separate hats and bottoms especially. Little mixing and matching there.

How about if they give you a choice of what age you are, say 7, 10, 13, 16, & 19 years old.
