Help!

Look, I've been posting in the Workshop for a time now but sadly it appears as if barely anyone notices my stuff :(

I'm trying to become a little more active on the forum but this is one of the parts that I've hardly commented or be active on due to the fact that I can't comment properly because if you're to say something here, is basically reviewing.

Now, I feel I can't review properly because I don't now how to write properly. Although I know a couple of things, I won't commit a lot of typos, and I have possible good plot ideas, my description for them is not that good and I really don't know how the flow of a fic should be or even the proper vocabulary.

Look, when I read something interesting, I just can't help but imagine I'm there myself. Feeling the story as I was living it. Yet it's something I can't manage myself to do with others, reason for which I believe I haven't been properly told what to do.

Any help regarding this issue will be widely appreciated :)

This is a fairly common complaint on these forums, but it is very possible to get started. If you continue commenting on or reviewing stories then its more likely that people will check yours out in turn. If you want, try joining The Review Exhange, which was implemented for just such a purpose. It's perfectly fine to leave a comment that isn't a review, if that's what you're after, as well. If you're looking to become a better writer yourself, just practice! And check out this Guide to Good Writing as well.

I'll do the review exchange with you. My story is Infinite Joys.

If you start posting regularly, people will notice that you have gotten a story going and they will surely read it. Some stories don't get more then one reader until a few chapters in, but that's ok. If you like your idea, you'll keep writing it.

If you're unsure about how to review, try viewing Barb's guide here, which describes how a well-rounded review should be. You don't need to follow all five points; just the first three will be perfect for starters ;-)

Also, you can comment on a story without reviewing it formally. You can stop by to encourage the author, or tell him/her that you liked their story.
