Newsarama has received its latest mysterious image from Marvel. This one simply titled "X-Men: Disassembled."

...This should be fun. Gotta love Marvel's recent policy of "when in doubt, reboot." New Uncanny X-Men anyone?

Oh my. I almost fear this after seeing what they did in Disassembled for the Avengers. The X-Men are like my babies. But oh, how curious I am.

First details:

Takes place after Messiah Complex.

Cable returns as part of this.

We'll also be getting one new X-team.

TWO new X-books (info on them coming later).

X-23's new look. And she'll be one of the stars of the new X-team.

More info coming later.

EDIT: As promised, new information.

The new X-team? X-FORCE. Featuring X-23, Wolverine, Warpath, and...Wolfsbane (poor Wolfsbane...what have they done to you now?). It's one of the two new books. Begins in February of 2008.

AA: Individually, they’re killers, but together? Look out.

It also appears as if Cable and Deadpool is losing half its leading cast. Look forward (or don't look forward) to Cable taking the place of Cable and Deadpool in February of 2008.

Source and interviews with X-editors Axel Alonso and Nick Lowe.

Meh. I really love X-books, but ANOTHER X-Force? I'm not sure I'll be reading much of this. Wolverine is continuously being spread too thin, Wolfsbane is rather boring these days, and I never like X-23 to begin with.

Plus Cable & Deadpool is one of my favorite books.

And that art makes me kind of nauseous.
